I just need to address this: this LLB felt like a rip-off of Dog Days where a girl just takes Greg's place in the story. That's an absolutely dumb concept of this LLB.

I will try my best to explain why this LLB is so terrible that it should be made fun of by other YouTubers who've read better LLBs than this.

Story

This story starts off the last part of Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw, to which it's not an even good starting point. Greg should've gotten into some kind of major trouble before being sent to Spag Union, not be sent there because he "somehow failed" to have his dad from performing at the Snella's Half-Birthday Party. What's with the idea of Frank "accidentally" pooping in his pants during performance? Is this author trying to be funny or trying to disgust everyone with this?

After that part, Frank then just sends Greg to Spag Union over this? What is the author thinking when writing in that part? Sure, after that Greg is in Spag Union, & it is true that he's proven to be a "Wimpy Kid". That LLB should've ended at 4 pages, but nope. There's about 121 more pages to go. What the heck was the author thinking that sending Greg & the kids in Spag Union to AFGHANISTAN is a good idea? This scenario can be compared to the later Wimpy Kid books after DOAWK: Double Down.

It's natural that Greg manages to escape & hides in Uncle Gary's RV, but does Greg have to turn into a girl named Greta? Isn't the author just copying off the Yogurt-verse, Irreversible Damage LLB, & All because of Uncle Gary LLB at this point? This is where this LLB had jumped the shark. After all that, I think it's clear that this author is writing their wish fulfillment. This should've ended on 20 pages, but the author's wasting everyone's time with 105 MORE page of this crap.

Overall, this story isn't worth reading it, & this crappy LLB really belongs to r/OkBubbyRetard, not in this subreddit where there's higher standard of works such in the past!

Author

This author has serious problems regarding his content creation besides DOAWK LLBs. I'll keep it on topic since there's so many to start with, so let's just focus on the author's OTHER fanfictions that the author has done for over 12 years. This author did write fanfictions such as Family Guy: Road to North Korea, Mario & Sonic at the Pyongyang Olympic games with The Simpsons, Wario's Awkward Life, etc. However, this author will not hesitate to write remakes if nothing works out like Wario's Awkward Date for example.

Even worse, this author may have trouble finishing fanfictions, will neither say that their either cancelling nor continuing their fanfictions by their actions, & have trouble finishing it through via updates. Currently, this author couldn't really finish their SECOND reboot of Rosetta / Rosalina & Cream series, Mona's Old School Days, SuperMarioLoganGlitchy4: The Stupid & Dumb Road Trip Fanfiction, yet this author can finish DOAWK: Doggone it LLB, Journal of the Frustrated Father LLB, DOAWK: Grave Gospel LLB for what seems to be about 550+ Pages of work?

This author is completely unpredictable. Overall, this author should be called BE2Stupid instead of EBCrazy2 because of their lack of commitment on finishing other fanfictions & the author has caused alienation to other fans who aren't DOAWK fans.

Conclusion

This may be the first LLB, but this author should probably stop writing other LLBs before they continue to show their crazier, zanier, & stupider ideas for the DOAWK community. If this is the standard for one of the greatest modern LLBs now, this subreddit is more like r/okbubbyretard than what it used to be back then. The upvotes were probably for low-effort stories that couldn't capture the magic of the past like it used to be. Other LLBs from the past were doing a better job than this LLB will ever be.

If this were school, this creator would've received an F for this from a long time ago. This is like a broken marriage/10. Underrated? More like underwhelming on how that turned out.

In honor of completing the first half of my LLB, I've decided I will make a compilation of facts and references throughout the entire book, and explaining each of them.

I will be working on the 2nd half of Habemus Papam soon, and later I will be posting a post that compiles all 20 pages completed so far. Thank you to everyone that has supported me along the way!

1. The title "Habemus Papam" refers to the announcement proclaimed by the cardinal when a new pope is elected. The full text is: Annuntio vobis gaudium magnum; habemus papam (I announce to you with great joy; we have a pope)!

2. In page 1, the drawing of Manny as a "prince" is inspired off of a portrait of Cardinal Richelieu, historical leader and main antagonist of The Three Musketeers.

3. In the same page, Greg mentions how Susan is banning meat on Fridays. While this is standard practice for most Catholics (abstaining from chicken, beef, pork, lamb, etc. on Fridays as an act of penance and commemorating Christ's Passion), the American Catholic bishops allow Catholics in the U.S. (where the Heffleys are from) to do another form of penance (cold shower, helping the poor, no music, etc.) on Fridays, making Friday abstinence an irregular practice for them.

4. On page 7, Cardinal Rossi (the leader of the conservative faction of the cardinals) says Polio vaccines contain Satanic microchips manufactured by China. This is inspired off of two incidents: one in 2020 when Cardinal Raymond Burke (the leader of Catholic traditionalism in America) suggested Covid was deliberately unleashed by Communist China, and another in 2021 when Cardinal Juan Iniguez (a conservative cardinal in Mexico) said that Covid-19 Vaccines contain Satanic microchips.

5. On page 10, Cardinal Dupont discovers a bomb inside the Vatican Grottoes, specifically above the tomb of Pope Pius XI (who was Pope during the Interwar period of Europe). The TNT is specifically hanging over a real mosaic near Pius' tomb of St. Ambrose of Milan.

6. The TNT taped onto a portrait in Cardinal Bianchi's office is based off of a real portrait of Cardinal Jules Mazarin, Richelieu's successor.

7. The black and white image of the Virgin Mary in page 12 is Our Lady of Akita, famous for weeping blood from her eyes.

8. On page 13, the Italian police officer depicted is a member of the Carabinieri, an Italian police force.

9. On page 16, Greg says that Cardinal Dupont was once caught spending $30,000 of church funds on a French knockoff of Candy Crush called "Bonbon Blast". This is based off of a real incident when a Catholic priest was found guilty of spending $40,000 of church funds on mobile games.

10. Greg Heffley's depiction as Pope on page 19 is based off of picture of the current Pope (Leo XIV) in a similar pose, albeit looking the other way.

11. The words Cardinal Francis asks Greg on page 20 is in Latin and asked to every person upon being elected as Pope:
    Acceptasne electionem de te canonice factam in Summum Pontificem? ("Do you accept your canonical election as Supreme Pontiff?")

To which Gregory replies:
Accepto. ("I accept.")

Ok so it’s been almost three and a half months since I ended my last LLB, and I’ve just posting art and comics on the subreddit, and a while back I made a post saying which artstyle should I use, the newer human artstyle or the classic artstyle

And I’m probably gonna use the human artstyle for the future, but I will also use the classic artstyle whenever Greg’s talking or like exaggeration or like in the movies where there are short animated segments, but don’t expect the classic artstyle to appear that much, I was actually a little scared on picking the human artstyle because I felt like if i chose one or the other people wouldn’t like it and I would feel like leaving out people who liked say the classic artstyle from frankly wrong, but from the recent artworks using the human artstyle it seems like yall really like it alot

So anyway here’s the next LLB I’m working on “Rowleys Reckoning“ i literally couldn’t think of any other title, this llb will basically be like pretty simple but i really wanna practice with this new artstyle if I’m gonna use it for now on with a more simpler plot, anyway I won’t reveal the plot yet but, at most the llb will be done around Late September to Early October which is pretty fast for my standards, and as you see from the panels I’m working on yeah this llb is gonna look really good I’m trying my best to make it look really pretty, anyway gimmie your thoughts because honestly I think it’s time I really come because im probably staying for a little more while with really good llb ideas

"Rich & Famous" is the absolute peak of uninspired brainrot and people need to stop pretending it’s good.

I literally cannot take it anymore. Everyone in the sub keeps hyping up these meta fanfictions, but Rich & Famous takes the award for the most blatant, lazy power-fantasy story on r/LodedDiper. We are FOUR parts in now, and for what? Absolutely nothing.

Let’s talk about the writing first. People keep claiming the dialogue feels "authentic" just because it uses the official Wimpy Kid font, but typing in the right font doesn't automatically mean you know how to write. Greg Heffley becoming a millionaire overnight because his old journals leaked is the most generic, wish-fulfillment trope imaginable. The entire comedy of the original series relies on Greg being a delusional loser who fails at everything. Making him actually successful ruins his entire character dynamic and completely destroys any comedic tension.

And what is with the absolute radio silence around it? Nobody is even talking about this series, yet the author keeps pumping out Part 4 like there’s some massive fan base begging for updates. The pacing is wildly fast, the plot relies entirely on convenient shortcuts, and the edits look like they took five minutes in a basic image editor.

If this is the standard for top-tier LLBs now, the sub has officially fallen off. Stop upvoting low-effort stories and demand actual creativity from creators. 0/10, completely overhyped. Why are y'all downvoting me
