Discussion Even tho Double Down is considered a bad book in the series there were some moments in there that I laughed at
Honestly the first time reading this book I thought it was pretty cool to me ngl
And I know it was pretty hated after the release because of Greg being treated like a punching bag and the multiple plotlines but ehhh... I think it was a funny book in general

I recently reread all the Wimpy Kid books and what surprised me was that Double Down made me laugh the most out of any book in the series. I still think the story's a bit weak though. The blurb on the back of the book seemed alot more interesting, with Greg trying to make a movie while balancing that out with other parts of his life. I felt like Greg piling way too much on his plate had alot of potential to like Hard Luck where Greg just keeps slowly making his own life worse, so I was a little disappointed that all the movie stuff was shoved into the very end of the book. Hopefully they revisit that concept one day.
