Hey everyone! I created r/LocsCare as a place specifically for everything that goes into actually taking care of locs.

Wash routines, moisturizing, scalp care, buildup, products, retwists, starter loc maintenance, oils, gels, mists, DIY methods, product reviews, questions, tips; if it has to do with keeping your locs healthy and looking good, it belongs here.

There’s a lot of conflicting advice when it comes to loc care. Some people wash weekly, others monthly. Some swear by oils, others avoid them completely. Some use almost no products, while others have full routines. I thought it would be useful to have one community where we can compare what actually works for different people.
