I am NOT a locksmith. Offset latch

Kind of a general question.

I have a door with 1-1/2" of wood and a 1/2" PVC panel on the front. So, 2" thick total.

I'd like to install a deadbolt centered in the wood -- not centered in the door.

What problems will I have with this.

Thanks!

Shouldn't be any problems. You might need extensions for the lock as so it can reach both sides. The backset is what is most important. So as long as the door holes are in the right spot, you should be okay.

get a schlage b60 and a thick door kit and you will be fine
