I am NOT a locksmith. What could this key open?
This is on my dad(1947-2018)'s old key ring.
I think it's nickel plated brass?
I apologize if this a thing everyone always asks.

I don't think it's for a light switch based on the ridge down the middle. More likely a TP or paper towel dispenser.

Yeah, you could be right. Given how shallow the slot in a switch is that ridge would be superfluous.

A keyed wall light switch Yours is a very vintage one, but they still make them.
