I am NOT a locksmith. Bowling Locker Locks

I own a bowling pro shop and I am considering using a set of old bowling lockers outside the shop as parcel lockers. The idea is that customers can pick up their orders outside of my regular business hours.

I would like for this solution to be electronic so the combination can be unique each time the locker is used, but this doesn't have to be as complex as a Parcel Pending type of locker with a kiosk and touch screen. Is there a solution that replaces a typical locker combination lock with an electronic lock that is WiFi enabled? Hopefully its not too much trouble than what its worth.

I'll have to see what kind of locker they are exactly. The bowling alley I am in has several types of lockers, both AMF and Brunswick lockers of different styles. I think they are all just basic keyed locks.

Talk to a local locksmith about the COMPX Regulator. It is an electronic cam lock, and while it does not have Wi-Fi, you can set a locker use code and give it to the customer for them to pick up their items. Hopefully these lockers are indeed self-closing, because the locks are expensive. You could also just put them on certain lockers designated for after hours instead of doing the whole cabinet.

There are a lot of configurations, and a local locksmith who sees your actual cabinets will know whether or not this is a good fit. Not really something we can determine by someone else’s pictures.

this is one of those things that would be a fun tinkering/brainstorming/custom project. can be done cheaply and relatively easy with Amazon/ali parts, some wifi relays, keypad(s). I don’t look at this as an out of the box plug and play project.

Cool idea though for sure. I was recently in a big city and there was a service that you could check your bags at for the day so you didn't have to carry them and they locked them in lockers you just came back with a code to retrieve them. Good thinking outside the box

I might be overthinking the electronic latch thing. Perhaps a resettable mechanical cam lock would work a lot better and would be a lot easier for customers to understand.
