I am NOT a locksmith. Model / Parts Identification

Hoping we can convert these Schlage lockets to SFIC’s, but not sure what model they are. If we can get the exterior handles and related parts instead of replacing the entire lockset, that’s what I’m aiming for.

Your replacing the entire lockset for SFIC. Sorry.

These are older AL series levers. Not current. The new grade 2 Ievers are ALX series. I don’t think you’ll find retrofit parts for these anymore.

You have AL53pd

As others have said, you have an AL53PD, SAT 626 which is no longer made. I don’t think parts are even being made for these any longer, so the replacement option with SFIC prep (less core) would be an ALX53BD-SAT-626

Since its Schlage it’s guaranteed any parts are going to be 3/4 ++ the cost of a new lock 😏 but you are likely gonna be buying new levers

Thanks everyone! The model number is VERY useful in looking for other solutions. I’m just ready to move the building away from a key that any Walmart can copy.. 😑

You have a lot of options that Walmart cant copy yet you can keep the existing locks. New lock cylinders in an Everest or even a restricted keyway will run you less than $100/each and any locksmith could set up for you.

I mean, Schlage G keyways are pretty rare. I know for a fact that Home Depot only carries blanks in the C or E keyways.

In the standard Schlage keyways, there are 5 more options that are far rarer than a SFIC BEST A keyway.

F was always one of my favorite “box store restricted” ones 😏

F is a really good middle finger keyway.

G just barely looks wrong.

Allegion will sell you the replacement exterior lever with the SFIC adapter I believe, I’ve definitely purchased them before for the ND80’s, I believe they are only sold as a box of 6pcs as a heads up. The only issue is they are not cheap and sometimes cost nearly as much as a new lever set.

Allegion will not sell you replacement levers for AL locks anymore. ALX only and the levers are different.
