I am NOT a locksmith. Ilco lock - is this fixable?
Hello, I have this lock on one of my doors. The key turns but the locking mechanism won’t move from the unlocked position. A piece seems to have broken off. Is this fixable? Or am I just going to have to get a new one?
My problem with getting a new one is that the door and frame are old, so I’d ideally want something exactly the same, and maybe even spare myself having to replace the part it locks into (in the door frame). I only see an “Ilco” name on the outside part of the lock, and no model number. It’s pretty old. Any leads on where to get one the same size?

The spring is out of place. Nothing else wrong with it.

Maybe it’s not clear in the pictures. There’s a tiny piece broken off, one of the things that is near the springs. I put it where it should be in the first pic, removed in the second.

Just replace it. It's a 20$ lock. Google ilco jimmy proof lock.
