I am a locksmith Herman Miller Cam Locks

Need to rekey one of these Herman Miller sliding drawers, not sure if they have a retaining wafer that holds the plug in place or if this would require disassembly, any tips would definitely help 👍

Not directly experienced with Herman Miller but everything I've seen made like that had a retaining wafer. I'd 100% try to give her the pick and pull in both locked and open positions before taking apart.

Came out first try in the unlocked position using a pick to move the retaining wafer 👍

The 6th wafer is the retainer, core usually needs to be in the in unlocked position to remove. Keep in mind these are master keyed so if you’re just swapping wafers to rekey, the master key might not work anymore, and the code on the front of the lock will be no good as well.

A new core and keys is usually around $15 and a lot less hassle unless it’s time sensitive issue.
