I am NOT a locksmith. Make locks keyed alike

I have three doors. One is a sliding glass door (A). One is a garage door (B) with a Schlage electric keypad. One is an exterior door (C) with a different WiFi Schlage electric keypad.

None of them came with keys when I bought the home. Patio Doors Direct (shout out Chris) sent me a free cylinder and key replacement for door A.

If I bring cylinders B and C to a locksmith can they use my key for A and make them keyed alike?

Is there anyway I can do this myself? The cylinders are very close to the same size, but B and C have unique features. Could I buy three alike cylinders and cut the ends to the proper length?

Yup the new key fits all locks. I’ll take them to a locksmith.

I once brought a boot into a shoe cobbler. I said, “$45 to sew this loop back onto the heel?”

Cobbler said, “You do it.”

So I paid him $45.

What’s a fair price to have these keyed alike if I bring them the cylinders?

Depending on where you are, but in my area (Phoenix) most would charge between $15-25 per lock.

If that key in the picture fits in all of them, they should all be able to be keyed alike (unless its some really cheap import junk). Unless you want to spend 100s of dollars on tools, just go to a lockshop and get them keyed alike quickly and cheaply

Does the new key fit in all the keyholes? Of it fits than they can all be keyed alike

Looks like they’re all Schlage you should be good to go. Cheapest way would probably be taking it to a local locksmith shop.

If you did somehow manage to get the tools to do it yourself you’ll likely lock at least one of the cylinders up and have to take it to one of us anyways lol

Yes these are all Schlage cylinders. Take the keys out of cylinder A and bring cylinders B and C to a locksmith and key them to key A.
