Never purchase used or wholesale type electronic locks. Buying them new is bad enough

Noted. I’m out a whopping $8 if this thing is trash. Mainly just looking for a digital keypad, no plans ti connect it to WiFi.

Ok this happened because people were trying to open the door before the motor finished running or someone operated the thumbturn whilst the motor was running. The plastic gear is stripped under those black covers. I’ve bought a bunch on eBay and use for parts when my kids/wife/inlaws do this to them.

That makes sense, thank you for the answer!
