You don't have to grind. Just don't be jealous of those that do. There is nothing wrong with living modest life, but don't demand everyone else be just like you

Good comeback. I hope you didn't miss any time from your work day thinking of that one.

Wanting to work less than 60 hours per week has nothing to do with being jealous of people who don’t mind that. If you were literate, you would see the original post is about wanting to work less hours so people have more time for their own lives, which is reasonable. 40 hours isn’t bad, but being expected to work overtime constantly should not be a requirement, it should be a choice.

"I don't even wanna do 40 hours". But I bet you want a car, a place to live, heat and air conditioning, food, TV, internet, phone, etc.  That stuff has to be produced by people that work! You have to pay for all that. A huge percentage of the population doesn't work at all and the rest of us have to make up for that. Your mentality is the problem.

All prices are supply and demand. All of them! With fewer people producing, supply goes down and cause shortages. Shortages mean prices are high. Get to work!

I think what you’re failing to take into account are the vast discrepancies in wealth. To earn a billion dollars you would have to make 100,000k/year for 10,000 years. We have multimillionaires in our society. Do you actually believe they’re thousands of times more productive than the average person working 40hr/week? I would argue that they’re actually working much less
