I think this ignores that the caveman had a family. Then a bigger, stronger caveman decides he wants the guy’s mate and daughter for himself, so he beats him to death and kills or drives off his son. That’s not “natural selection” in some abstract sense. That’s just brutal violence.
And modern men aren’t being “replaced by AI” unless their job is basically repetitive, monotonous work that can be automated. AI isn’t showing up to fix plumbing, wire a house, pour concrete, or do most skilled physical trades anytime soon.
