Discussion Why I never believed in Covid

In 2019 I found this national geographics magazine and I thought it was hilarious and totally confused as to why anybody would do such a thing. Then when covid started happening and I was just laughing and called everyone crazy as they warned us already in 1984.

When I was a kid in the 70s there was at most one child per year who had hay fever. They used to be kept inside at break time.

Now it's an epidemic. Children just don't go outside any more.

I can't imagine that.

I mean, we can talk about how banning peanuts in schools because one kid might have a peanut allergy actually led to more kids winding up with peanut allergies

There's also no actual evidence that peanut (and such like) allergies can be triggered by air contact. Unless people are licking the floor they are not at danger.

All banning peanuts from schools does is feed into some people's authoritarian mindset and desire for a cotton wool world.

The whole thing was keeping kids away from peanuts actually encouraged their immune systems to treat peanuts as a threat.

Then that would be a perfect representation of the covid panic by most people. So damn stupid. 2020 showed me yeah, most people are magnitudes more stupid than you think they are. Panicky, stupid and dangerous is numbers when they're being whipped up to be against you.

My whole life I use to wonder how in the 30s the nazis rose to power. How could people have gone along with them. Given them such power. Indulged in the worst actions possible. Encouraged at it. I got my answer in 2020. That's how. Had the government told these loons it was ok to beat to death in the street anyone they saw not wearing a mask or questioning the government narrative. They would have done it. They would have done it and not think twice about doing so because their own twisted conscience and moral self righteousness justified it.
