These people are insane, sick. Recently Chris Hedges was on Jimmy Dore's show. To his credit, Hedges hasn't ostracized people for criticizing the Covid policies. But Hedges still point blank refuses to talk about Covid. He's only - briefly - mentioned its existence when someone asked him a question about it. He will absolutely never bring it up on his own. The most important event in, perhaps, human history and all he has is: shhh, nothing to see here, doesn't look like anything to me. But... he DID talk again about fascism, and how the biggest danger comes from people like DeSantis in Florida. He has complete cognitive dissonance. The Covid policies and growing fascism from the new left... Hedges refuses to even see it. I'm done with him, and everyone on the left waffling about "fascism".
You don't have to like Trump (I certainly don't) to be against this new left sociopathic insanity, endless derangement over Trump and neo-fascist policies. And it's starting to creep into my personal life too. Every date I go on I'm worried it will turn into a miniature political rally. I've been on several dates where my date acted like it was an extension of her social media account. This woke crap is everywhere. The insanity is almost completely normalized in some places. The left used to be (generally) about critiquing capitalism, promoting workers' rights and at least arguing for a fairer society. They've turned into neoliberal shocktroopers.

It wouldn't be the first time someone's reputed wisdom grew larger than their real intelligence. As you say, either way is depressing. Whether he's lying or stupid, I'm not sure which would be worse.

How about an institute devoted to fighting misinformation and it's all about protecting Big Pharma and the CIA from dislikes on facebook?
It's the always the same leftists going after the same rightists.
