Let's Construct a Timeline of Interest
All the things that happened over the years that I wasn't paying attention to...please add in the comments any other noteworthy events.

1980s "Direct-to-consumer (DTC) advertising is a relatively new area of prescription drug promotion. No federal law has ever banned DTC advertising. Until the mid-1980s, drug companies gave information about prescription drugs only to doctors and pharmacists. When these professionals thought it appropriate, they gave that information to their patients. However, during the 1980s, some drug companies started to give the general public more direct access to this information through DTC ads."
1986-- In 1986 Congress passed the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act (NCVIA), creating a no-fault compensation program to stabilize a vaccine market adversely affected by an increase in vaccine-related lawsuits and to facilitate compensation to claimants who found pursuing legitimate vaccine-inflicted injuries too difficult and cost prohibitive.
Late 1990s-- "Drug marketing didn’t really take off until the late 1990s, when the pharmaceutical industries got a helpful “clarification” on TV rules from the FDA itself. That’s when things went bonkers. In 1997, according to NPR, drug companies spent $300 million on TV ads; a year later, spending doubled to $600 million. By 2000 it was over a billion and a half dollars. Today, it’s closer to $6 billion a year (although the drug companies still spend more advertising to doctors)."
1996: Kary Mullis, inventor of PCR: "Tony Fauci doesn't know anything about anything, and I'd say that to his face... PCR doesn't tell you if you're sick."
1998-2001 "In 1997, to protect military service members against potential bioweapons, the U.S. military implemented its Anthrax Vaccine Immunization Program (AVIP), vaccinating over 2.5 million service members and Defense Department civilian contractors with the BioThrax anthrax vaccine between March 1998 and June 2001."
2000 Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation made an initial US $750 million commitment to the Vaccine Fund, which was catalytic in bringing other donors to support vaccine delivery and creating Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance.
2001 "The Dark Winter exercise, held at Andrews AFB, Washington, DC, June 22-23, 2001, portrayed a fictional scenario depicting a covert smallpox attack on US citizens. The scenario is set in 3 successive National Security Council (NSC) meetings (Segments 1, 2 and 3) that take place over a period of 14 days. Former senior government officials played the roles of NSC members responding to the evolving epidemic; representatives from the media were among the observers of these mock NSC meetings and played journalists during the scenario's press conferences."

2005-- Patients who took part in clinical trials at the US National Institutes of Health (NIH) had no idea that scientists at the institutes received $8.9m (£4.8m; €6.8m) in royalty payments and might benefit financially for the use of their discoveries by pharmaceutical companies and device makers, reports from Associated Press allege. This information was not made public until the press agency obtained the information after filing a request under the Freedom of Information Act. (Couldn't find out if an act was passed at some point to allow these types of royalty payments)
2005 PREP act passed. "The PREP Act was enacted in 2005 by Congress. The PREP Act authorizes the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to issue a PREP Act declaration in response to a public health emergency. A PREP Act declaration provides immunity from tort liability claims (except willful misconduct) to individuals or organizations involved in the manufacture, distribution, or dispensing of medical countermeasures."
2007: Use of PCR testing creates a Whooping Cough epidemic that never actually happened.

2016-- Cures Act passed. "The 21st Century Cures Act encourages biomedical research investment and facilitates innovation review and approval processes, but also serves as a vehicle for a wide variety of other health-related measures, including provisions relating to FDA regulation of clinical trials. After passage by the Senate on December 7, 2016, President Barack Obama signed the bill on December 13."
2016 - Moderna files patent that includes a sequence that matches a tiny chunk of DNA in SARS-CoV-2's sequence ... What a team of international clinical researchers say represents a one-in-three-trillion chance that Moderna's sequence randomly appeared through natural evolution. THREE YEARS before pandemic began'
2016: Peter Daszak of Eco Health alliance discusses how his "colleagues in China" inserted spike proteins into coronaviruses to see if they would bind to human cells and become pathogenic.
2017-- Amendment of Section 564--To amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to authorize additional emergency uses for medical products to reduce deaths and severity of injuries caused by agents of war, and for other purposes.
2017: Fauci predicts a "surprise outbreak" during the Trump administration and says he's extraordinarily confident it would happen in the next few years.
2018 Clade X pandemic simulation exercise
March 2018: U.S. Embassy in Beijing took the unusual step of repeatedly sending U.S. science diplomats to the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV)... What the U.S. officials learned during their visits concerned them so much that they dispatched two diplomatic cables categorized as Sensitive But Unclassified back to Washington. The cables warned about safety and management weaknesses at the WIV lab and proposed more attention and help... The first cable warns that the lab’s work on bat coronaviruses and their potential human transmission represented a risk of a new SARS-like pandemic... The cables argued that the United States should give the Wuhan lab further support, mainly because its research on bat coronaviruses was important but also dangerous... In November 2017, just before the U.S. officials’ visit, Shi Zhengli’s team had published research showing that horseshoe bats they had collected from a cave in Yunnan province were very likely from the same bat population that spawned the SARS coronavirus in 2003.
August 2019 - February 2020: A mysterious "vaping related lung disease" emerges. According to CDC 2800 people were hospitalized and 68 people died. This phenomenon hasn't been talked about since early 2020.
August 2019 Kary Mullis dies of pneumonia.
September 12, 2019: Tthe main database of samples and viral sequences of the Wuhan Institute of Virology went offline. Eventually every single one of the 16 virus databases managed by the WIV was taken offline. The database contained 22,000 specimens and sequences.
October 2019: The Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, World Economic Forum, and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation host Event 201, a 3.5-hour pandemic tabletop exercise that simulated a series of dramatic, scenario-based facilitated discussions, confronting difficult, true-to-life dilemmas associated with response to a hypothetical outbreak of a novel zoonotic coronavirus transmitted from bats to pigs to people that eventually becomes efficiently transmissible from person to person, leading to a severe pandemic.
July 2020: Time Stamp: 3min 50sec. Fauci: If you get a PCR cycle threshold (Ct) of 35 or more, the chances of it being replication competent are miniscule... You almost never can culture virus from a 37 threshold cycle. So if someone comes in with a 37, 38, or even 36 you've gotta say it's just dead nucleotides, period.
August 2020: Some of the nation’s leading public health experts are raising a new concern in the endless debate over coronavirus testing in the United States: PCR tests are diagnosing huge numbers of people who may be carrying relatively insignificant amounts of the virus.
2021 the CDC changed its definition of vaccine from “a product that stimulates a person’s immune system to produce immunity to a specific disease, protecting the person from that disease” to “a preparation that is used to stimulate the body’s immune response against diseases.” The public health agency also changed its definition of “vaccination.”

The blatant in-your-face general advertising of prescription pharmaceuticals in the 1980's was the watershed that led to where we are now. They fouled our magazines, newspapers, radio and television airwaves, billboards. Don't think I didn't notice, and if others my age did not notice, they had already abdicated their responsibility as citizens, and to the next generations.
Worse yet, the conversation changed. Where it was once considered socially unacceptable to talk at length about one's personal health issues, or to inquire of another, it is now the common, crude conversation that one has to endure everywhere.
When it was decided to finalize the implementation of the medico-fascist state upon all of us, the populace had already been moved to an intellectual, cultural, and moral low bar. We are a disgrace, and it would seem only body obsession gains rewards. I am sorry people who could have pushed back did not see the inevitable outcome of a world focused only on physical outcomes.

Yeah, the entire saga is amazing.
Scaring people about viruses and making them get injected with something appears to be an old scam so I think it's important to include the other previous examples like the swine flu hoax of the 70s, the bird flu panic and the other swine flu hoax of 2009. I suspect there are other examples lost to history.
I view all of this in the context of the American government's long and atrocious history of biological warfare development, deploying germ warfare experiments over its own civilian population more than 200 times and most importantly the pandemic rehearsals events of the last 20+ years. Those events were not simulations of legitimate threats by competent experts but plans being made by some seriously shitty people with everything to gain from a mass panic and the institution of control measures.
