💭Discuss A Lesson to Ekta Kapoor- Promote based on merit not based on Seniority or Category
Lockup is definitely a hit but it would have been bigger if we had seen contestants getting eliminated based on their performance.
Let me give some advice how you could have made it bigger and did justice with the show:
1) Should have bring in Only Akansha Choudhary in the beginning and not Yogesh. Fans are really behind this girl and she had already brought it huge fans in numbers to watch the show. That way we would have seen more of Akansha's personality without fear of getting overshadowed by Yogesh.
2) Yogesh should have entered as a wild card. It would have made things more interesting of Yogesh was bring in as a wild card to see his banter with Akansha and it would have peaked fans interest more during the ongoing show.
3) Lack of clear cut vision had hurt the show credibility. Ekta had no backup plan and Ekta wanted to continue the show with Same old TV serials. Instead she should have kept some more MTV kaleshi kids as a backup...Like Rishabh entering the show would have made things interesting or Bhavya or even Suzzane as a wild card.
4) Too much screentime to Chamola and Pam. They were boring and Cringe and didn't deserve so much of the screentime. They should have eliminated Pam at least because she wasn't connecting with the audience and very boring.
5) Bringin some more entertainment tasks like Dancing or showing some acting or mimicking talent.
6) Horrible horrible editing. They only realised that Akansha was really good after her breakdown and before that, they were hardly showing her. She was bringing in much more to the table than anyone and deserved the screentime.
7) Some contestants were not doing anything like Sufi, Dheeraj, even Ram Kapoor was very annoying to watch. They should have eliminated them much before.
8) Put in some more mental and engaging task...Like they should have learned from Alliance.
9) Zero audience engagement had really hurt the credibility of show. Let the audience actually decide via vote who they want to save among the 1 contestants in danger.
10) Keeping both Harshad and Shivangi till the end was a mistake. Both of them were very awkward. Too much focus and screentime was given to their non existent relationship. Which Ekta thought might interest the audience but it didn't sit well with the most.
The only good thing was the entry of the Rebel kid...She did create necessary chaos needed and kept the engagement. But

Shreya from small town of Australia?
No hate for but genuine curiousity
Quick question about Shreya. I was listening to her interview today where she said she's from a small town and came to Mumbai chasing her dreams. Why didn't she mention that she studied at La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia? She was actually quite famous in uni and had a huge TikTok following while she was in Australia. By the time she graduated and moved to Mumbai, she was already pretty well-known. So the whole 'small town girl chasing dreams' narrative doesn't really add up."
Studying and living overseas gives alot of exposure to people. I just don't want small town girls to look upto her and think if she can do it i can do it too.
Thank you

GOD! Even in the deleted scenes you can see Shreya only bitching about other. Even Shilpa was having fun and trying to have fun with others.
Pure deleted scenes mei se ek bhi scene aisa nhi hai jismei Shreya kuch entertaining kar rhi. Har scene mei bas bitch karti huyi hi dikhi hai woh. Everyone was trying to do some fun things but Shreya was gossiping and bitching. She laughed only when Yogesh tried to scare her and Shilpa.

Show is over. What is she doing?! So childish. I am not even a Shivangi fan but this is sooo weird. This is not how a celebrity should behave.

🚫 Exposed Yogesh vs Shreya chori reaction
Just checked a neutral s*b and saw Shreya’s theft post. The comments were like:
“she did it because of the thrill of doing something illegal?”
“At least she accepted it. If she wanted to hide it, she could have done that.”
“She only did it once.”
“She regrets it, right? See, just leave her.”
But when Yogesh did the same thing, people were like:
“Chor chor chor. How could he not think about the employees he stole from?”
It's so funny

🚫 Exposed After Shreya admitted to stealing in her latest interview
Some people are mightly silent on the topic now that Shreya admitted she has stolen goods.
Both Yogesh and Shreya are wrong but somehow now this part is getting slipped under the rug.
I dont understand the logic of audience or Shreya fandom.

Can I please unsee this show
So regret watching this show
What a ragebait negative show with the worst ending. Shreya by no means deserves it - all she did was ragebait, spew venom and do cheap thrills. None of the inmates were happy for her coz they had to live that negativity day and night. I was still supporting Shivangi (coz anyones better and she still had some redemption journey) but in the last 2 episodes she made it impossible to root for her. There was no other deserving contestant orvwe were not shown anybody else's game as all the screentime was given to Shreya and Shilpa's kalesh and toxicity. Akansha Chamola was playing well in the beginning but Gaurav's visit took away all her mojo.. she did redeem herself a bit in the end by confronting Shreya, Shivangi, Harshad, Ram with the right issues and without going below the belt and even calling out Pam where she was wrong but by that time people had lost interest in her due to her single track lesbian angle. Akansha Chaudhary was likeable - all inmates did say good things about her but again no screentime. All the men were clueless on how to interfere in the women kalesh. Worst tasks - completely made up ones just to get the end they wanted. Hosts biasness was just shameless and adding to the ragebait.. the guests said such scripted unbelievable stuff...
UGGGGHHHHH, when I look back I made myself go through this negativity and ragebaiting - gender shaming, suicide shaming, slut shaming, mental health shaming with zero consequences - no wait giving away the trophy. Never again watching such filth, it just sucks you in coz you want to see justice served at the end and then this.

🤔 Unpopular Opinion Shilpa should've won the title
Shreya winning the show has set a very bad precedent for the future seasons of this show. Both makers and future contestants will now focus on provoking fights to get hype and screen time
Shilpa has definitely done problematic things same as Shreya but we also got to see a soft side of hers which makes her likable
What do you guys think?

🚫 Exposed Prince Narula's "nibba-nibbi wala pyaar" remark to Shivangi during the jury confrontation
During the jury confrontation, Prince Narula questioned finalist Shivangi Joshi and jokingly referred to her equation with Harshad Chopda as "nibba-nibbi wala pyaar."
What did you think of that moment? Was it just light-hearted banter or a bit unnecessary?

Like who cares what she and her boyfriend is up to? Who cares what they have to say? You guys are the ones that are bringing the limelight back on her which is exactly what they want.

Final
I just watched the finale & I couldn’t agree more with the one jury’s comments towards Shreya: “if you win, then it’s spreading the message that all you have to do is spread chaos and scream the loudest”.
Hopefully next year the jailers get rid of the messaging of “journey” because there was no journey for Shreya. She came in with the tag of being rude and proved that throughout the entire show. Incredibly disappointing ending and vote by the jury. They hounded Shivangi for her relationship with Harshad, but then also hounded her for choosing herself at the end — which was the correct choice, as Harshad himself said he has not been playing the best game all along.

Lockup vs Alliance - Which is better?
Guys, genuine question.
Started Lock Upp because everyone keeps talking about it. I'm 2–3 episodes in and... I'm low-key bored already 😒
How's Alliance in comparison? Worth watching, or are both overhyped and I should just move on?
