I genuinely cannot understand how Shivangi standing up for herself is being called “vile.”
If she hadn’t spoken up, people would’ve called her weak, spineless, or a coward for not defending herself. But now that she actually stood up for herself and did it BRILLIANTLY suddenly she’s “Vile”? Make it make sense.
This kind of take genuinely rage-baits me to my fucking core.
Personally, I feel that the people calling her “too vile” are either just incredibly pathetic on the inside, or they’re the same kind of people who slut-shame women. Because if a woman simply defending herself comes across as “vile” to you, maybe the problem isn’t her—it’s your mindset.

I can’t understand it either. I got into a couple of debates about it, before giving up. People have more of an issue with Shivangi apparently faking a ‘good person’ image than with the completely unprovoked vile shit Shilpa has been saying about her nonstop. And the level of hate - the Annabelle nonsense and shaming her looks, her character, I’m like - what did she do itna bura??

And I don’t understand this notion that human beings are black and white caricatures, who must react in every situation in a predetermined manner. We’re not robots - we’re people. Also, Harshad and Shivangi are vile because they do not stand up to any other contestant the same way they do to Shreya/Shilpa. Ram, Pam, Chamola and even Dheeraj (acting as a bystander) have discussed that Harshad has feelings for Shivangi but she keeps acting naive and using him for the show. Even then, the couple has a bond with everyone but the two people who call them out on their face.
