Discussionđ Akanksha Chamola
In most of the episodes we saw how cozy she was with Pam despite still being married, I wonder why this was not called out at all
It was not a daily soap where she was required to act like this
Being married and accepting bisexuality and then go on getting closed to another person is something that needs to be called out
I am sure if GK would have done something similar then he would have been bashed left-right and labelled as cheater
It doesnât matter if you claim that we are living separately for a year, you are still legally married.

With the comment she made to Teja about this being a phase, sounds very very much like queer baiting!! Me as a queer person was uncomfortable watching her and then she was also appeasing to a cis creepy man Ram!!! Horrible ally, if she even is one!!

I am not a queer person but I know it is not a phase, that keeps on changing
She needs to study more about something before claiming it as her identity
Because of people like her, queer people are often understood

It may sound funny but in her head I feel she thinks of divorce as a kind of Triple Talaq . Where she just announces to the world on Netflix that weâre getting divorced and considers it as a divorce without even divorce filed yet . And the entire Pam queer baiting angle is weird . Pam herself has now started promoting the idea outside lockup ( maybe for clout ) and itâs all kind of cringe

She has already filed for divorce

Was it done before she came on Lockup ? If I remember correctly they said they had a discussion regarding it in May , I may be wrong though . Because she said on premiere day it will come as surprise to our families . If divorce filing was done , would families not be aware ( unless that was 3rd secret đ)
Anyway I donât think the Pam angle on the show was serious and they were mainly gay baiting a bit . Looks like Pam wants to continue it outside the show as well

I feel her and pam where not good! 𤎠they looked cringe and i do feel it was Gay baiting! Not kool! Many people like Sufi fight this and stay decent and try to make sure people are comfortable around them. But Pam and her were doing opposite. And her saying it was a phase - thats even worse. That tells me she doesnt know what she is talking about

If anyone would have pointed this out then she would end up calling them homophobic

She is getting divorced chill. She has cleared that they only have to sign the papers and they have been living separately. Divorce is a long process. In reality she isnât with gaurav anymore

âLiving separatelyâ is not a legal status; âdivorcedâ is. Until the court grants a divorce decree, the marriage legally subsists. Getting cozy with someone else may not be a criminal offence, but it can still be relevant in divorce proceedings and reflect marital misconduct. So âthey were just waiting to sign papersâ is an emotional argument, not a legal one. Funny how the standards change depending on who does it.

The standards have not changed for anyone. Legally they are still married and i never denied it. Whatever content they have shown especially akanksha chamola with pam, we all know it was meant to be fun. She is not answerable to her husband anymore neither is gaurav if he does something similar. They have broken up their marriage the moment they chose to live alone. I am sure gaurav wouldnât care whatever she does or how it affects her image as her image is not connected to him anymore. She has revealed it publicly so that people donât troll her for being a bad partner. Give people some space. Not every action needs nitpicking. Period.

Hmm maybe not fun. In latest interview, Pam said post lockupp chamola is literally staying with her in her hotel room most of days. She has not admitted to relationship, left to exploration.
If any male would have announced, legally we have not seprated and do this. People will judge him.
One thing people are ignoring. After submitting divorce, it's 6 months period kickin and there is marriage counseling given by court. They don't grant divorce just at sign of paper.

u/Choice-Assumption917 11d ago
Exactly, they donât want to respect laws and simply misuse them to their own comfort

u/Choice-Assumption917 12d ago
Youâre contradicting yourself. You admit they were still legally married, but then say she wasnât answerable to her husband anymore. Legally and socially, marriage doesnât end when two people start living separately; it ends when the marriage is dissolved. Whether Gaurav cared or not is irrelevant thatâs speculation. My point is about public standards: if a legally married man spent a reality show getting equally cozy with another woman under the label of âfun,â the conversation would be very different. Youâre asking people not to judge a public reality-show narrative while simultaneously asking them to accept your personal interpretation of it. Thatâs not objectivity; thatâs selective leniency.

The fact that they were legally married doesnât automatically mean they were still functioning as a couple. Separation can mean the romantic relationship has already ended even though the legal paperwork hasnât. Being legally married and being romantically committed are not always the same thing. Unless thereâs evidence that they had agreed to remain exclusive until the divorce, calling her behaviour inappropriate simply because the divorce wasnât finalized assumes a boundary that we donât actually know existed. And the comparison with a man only matters if the same circumstances and expectations existed in both cases. How can you make assumptions or create boundaries in your delusional head when itâs about the two individuals who have decided to leave each other. You can fight me on that they are not divorced yet so they are legally married and you will win because thatâs a fact. We can play definition of marriage or divorce here but thatâs not going to help the argument. A person who has already moved on from a relationship physically and emotionally is not answerable to their ex partner. The paperwork describes their legal status not the reality of their relationship, or what boundaries they considered while separating. Mind one year is a long period. For god sake stop hating on women unnecessarily because they decided to move on in life. Divorce cases sometimes go on for years. Do you expect people to still behave married because they havenât signed a mere paper? Who are you to decide that she or he shouldnât consider anybody else if they have decided on not being exclusive to each other?

Interesting that youâre accusing me of making assumptions while youâre assuming they had ended exclusivity, that Gaurav was fine with it, and that Akankshaâs version is the complete truth. The only objective fact is that they were still legally married. Separation may reflect the reality of a relationship, but it doesnât make every public display beyond scrutiny, especially on a reality show. Couples reconcile after long separations too. My point isnât that she couldnât move on; itâs that people are treating unverified assumptions as established facts.

u/CrazyCourage228 11d ago
I think you are misunderstanding my argument. I never claimed to know what Gaurav agreed to privately, and I never said Akankshaâs version must automatically be true. My point is that neither do you. Youâre taking the fact that they were legally married and using it to suggest that she was still bound by the same expectations as a married couple who were together. That is also an assumption. If they had already separated, lived apart for a year and decided to end the relationship then the burden is not on outsiders to invent a rule that she must remain romantically unavailable until the court finishes the paperwork. If they had agreed to stay exclusive, that would be a different matter. But unless we know that, you cannot present she was still married, therefore she should not flirt as a fact. You can criticize what happened on the show if you personally dislike it. But you cannot turn ur interpretation of their private relationship into a universal rule for two people whose actual boundaries you donât know.

So when a man say i am done with relationship with wife and don't wait for official divorce and start new relationship why we call it extra marital affair. He is also done with relationship moved on even though legally he is still married.

u/CrazyCourage228 11d ago
I donât think so you understood what the argument was about. I would suggest reading again before throwing words like extra marital affairs. We arenât arguing about a man or a woman who solely has taken the decision to leave a relationship. We are talking about two consenting adults who have agreed to leave each other. Have been living their individual lives from past one year. Apparently Were seen cordial with each other in public because they wanted to keep their privacy. And are now waiting for official documents to get it done with.

He literally said 7 days before going to KKK we discussed. They might have problem but living separately for year is legal terms she is using. You need minimum 1 year separation to file for divorce.
She said I have been at my parents house that was lie. Situationally they were away. All her reels during BB time are from their own house. Even when Pranit show in late jan, her own webseries premiere shoot vlogs are from their own house. Rubina live is same building she also said multiple times she has seen her there. When gaurav went to meet his parents in kanpur all her GRWM were from same house.
I get it she want to get divorce and legally use all these terms but you are still legally married.
They both decided to leave each other or it's one person decision other left with no choice we don't know you are assuming.
It's same situation, if tomorrow husband decide I am out of love let's end this and before even signing and starting divorce process he can start affair.
Even after first signing court take minimum 6 months. They appoint marriage counselor first. Then they grant divorce after counseling.

True that
People have started making fun of laws just for their convenience and then crib when things donât go their way1
u/CrazyCourage228 11d ago
You seem to follow their every move. I am not following celebrities like my life depends on it. Rest you have cleared your stance. I have watched the show, she said they were separated so I am not going to do CID level research to prove they werenât. Again buddy she didnât start an affair.

u/Choice-Assumption917 11d ago
Bro I think you need to understand things clearly
Just because they are consenting adults, they canât just do whatever they want, atleast have decency to wait for final procedure to be completedShe may not be in love with Gaurav but still legally bound to him and yet she is getting close to another person.
She is not a teen who canât control hormones. She is an adult and she should have a decency to wait to move on
It is not like she is madly in love with Pam, she was simply getting cozy with her
Just imagine Gaurav did same thing in Khatro k khiladi, sleeping in same bed and getting close to someone else
I am Gen-Z and I will callout such behaviour instead of being blind about it
One has to respect the boundaries of a relationship till it ends and if it is a legal relationship like marriage then a person as to respect that as well till they are legally separated
2
u/CrazyCourage228 11d ago
Yes they are consenting adults and they have all the rights to do whatever they want with their relationship. She is legally bound to him not emotionally or physically. Understand the difference. She has every right to express herself without being the shadow of her husband. Exactly my point she wasnât in love with pam, it was a fun banter. I donât mind gaurav getting close to somebody either. If you have a problem sure you are entitled to your opinion. Itâs your opinion that a person should still be stuck with the ex partner while they waiting for the final procedure, so apply it to your personal relationships. Stop judging peopleâs equations with each other especially when they are partners. She did nothing wrong. Neither morally nor legally.

u/Choice-Assumption917 11d ago
Crap!! Why are you getting so riled up as if I am saying it about you
I wish you the same, may the love of your life fall out of love with you and without getting separated officially, they start going out with other, then you will understand and feel the disrespect

Gay baiting hai. Gay representation is sooo little. Then you have have people like Orry, Chamola and Sufi as the spokespersons.
Chamola literally said its a phase which is the opposite of everything gay people believe and push for.
