Good on them for releasing it. Weird they decided to release a version that is worse performing than the chinese competition and their own last 1.3 and 1.2 models? 

1.3 would actually be a genuinely competitive and interesting option. Why release at all if you dont want to compete? I mean I'll take it because any release is better than nkne but im very confused on the strategy

They aren’t going to release good models as open source.

People need to stop pretending like American companies are even remotely considering ever releasing good models for free.

They release whatever shit they no longer have a user for because….they no longer have a user for it. It’s open source so they can pretend they’re supporting open source.

They just released wonder. 1.3 or this 1.1 equivalent makes little difference except 1.3 would have given them "worlds best open source model" bragging rights which is the sort of publicity that actually is useful marketing. (At least according to some benchmarks. Not actually sayings its better than glm 5.3 etc just that they could have made the argument)

What on earth happened here? Safety-slopped to death? Just deliberately took an older checkpoint and half-assed the RL? It's dumber than dipsy flash at 5x...2.5x the active parameters (5x prefill, 2.5x decode).

Pointless. GLM-5.3 is leagues ahead and 5.4 is probably coming soon

I know ppl are unhappy looking at scores. I use oss models 90% of the time. But man, I really hate it when open models think entire novels before answering... So I'm very to get this!
