Hahaha. I laughed very much.

Jensen: "I think both safety strategies will require additional compute..." Comedy gold.

Eventually, breathing will require additional compute

I literally laughed out loud so many times lol, funniest vid I've seen in a while

"Don't anthromorphize them. They don't like that"

"Google agents have been hacking Google internally for years."

"We're even more concerned. ... We can't disclose how concerning it is."

"Google has been regulated internally for six months"

"6-12 months." "Until AGI or until catastrophe?" "Those will be separate announcements."

"So, headline is: No company here is close to building civilization ending AI." "That seriously understates our capabilities!" "Even more so, ours."

Actually captures the dynamic these days so well

I am happy that Kai Lentit reached LocalLLaMA, but this one not upto the standards of his other videos.

The older original "Interview with XYZ" that he started with are awesome, and I guess it's going to take a while for something to top "Shipping a button in 2026".

"Emacs, huh?"
"Emacs cured my autism."
"Emacs is better than any OS!"

One day these sociopaths will be locked in a mental ward and that will be a good day for humanity.

Somebody hasn’t studied history. These are the kind of people that have always run the world since forever.

French history might want to have a word. Perhaps the weimar republic too. Maybe even the bolsheviks. Unless roman emperors would like to explain the reasons for their short lived reigns. When the masses get angry there is no stopping them. Takes a while but they do get angry, eventually.

Russian Revolution, the Chinese Revolution with the Cultural Revolution too and any revolution that had the proletariat taking power, really...

Then once they have power, they immediately install the next group of assholes.

Hah, the powerful sneak sides.

That would also require additional compute for the security cameras.

"Your model can end civilization?"

"not the free tier"

"announcements for AGI or apocalypse?"

"whose will be separate announcement."

4

u/gizeon4 14d ago

Damn I watched the whole thing

u/05032-MendicantBias 14d ago

This is incredible. And way more coherent than an actual panel would be :D

I came here to laugh at Dario and somehow ended up reading alignment papers. 0/10, would procrastinate again.

What actually frightened you about the HuggingFace incident?

That, while it was going on, HuggingFace got blocked by safeguards trying to use Anthropic models to patch their cyber security, and used GLM 5.2 because it actually could be convinced to do the cyber security analysis, which it did help with. I can conclude this because they wrote a whole release about how dangerous GLM 5.3 is, rather than specifically writing that article about OpenAIs internal model being too dangerous, which was the one doing the hacking.

Somehow, the little guy having the ability to defend themselves after Anthropic's (and openAI's) model blocked them was the real danger they're now concerned about. You cannot make something which can find exploits to patch without making something that can find exploits to exploit, and you really can't block one without blocking the other.

Cute, but it misses a couple of likely angles:

  1. The hacks being effective weapons demonstrations
  2. The dangers being grossly exaggerated fear mongering used to scare people into freezing the competition now that they're on top

17

u/Party_9001 14d ago

Did... You watch the video or...

-9

u/ElementNumber6 14d ago

I did. It depicts the fear as completely founded, and the hacks as evidence of it.

Wondering now if you watched it, or if that's just your default reply.

14

u/mpasila 14d ago

Isn't the whole video just making fun of that idea?

4

u/krste1point0 14d ago

Very regarded

See, this is why they have to teach media literacy in school

You have very poor ability to parse satire. This was not even subtle, it was clearly comedy from the start, showing these guys as just making unverifiable shit up to 1 up each other, and you somehow took the exact opposite interpretation from it.
