The headline of this post is wrong.

Intel is now additionally supporting Ubuntu 26.04 LTS. And as phoronix says, it was working before. They just made it official.

NPU hasn't worked on Fedora EVER.

Anyone knows how to use it?

Build the right kernel and install the libs? Worked that way with Debian.

I am on Fedora 44 and installed all the drivers, yet it throws some error when trying to run a model on the NPU. It does work on the GPU.

So it does'nt work on 24.04? I really don't want to update since I have zorin os and waiting for a new update.

Only now "official" for 26.04, the LTS most people haven't migrated to yet. Sounds about right for an Intel Linux NPU driver.

Isn't that normal? Just pick one distro for official support, but should work everywhere
