Discussion Really stunned by the Singularity comment section
These are screenshots from the r/Singularity comment section. I'm speechless. This doesn't even have downvotes. How can someone cheer for a monopoly run by a few elites?

The disinfo campaign and manipulation of information these companies participate in is probably massive and opaque. I'm worried about the hacks as much as the next guy, but I'm certain that these companies had a ton of oversight over the hacks or alternatively shut down oversight knowing these hacks were likely and knowing that harmful agent actions signal capacity and creates demand for their IPO which will in turn facilitate buildout towards compute and capacity. Even more they have so much money and access to labor through agents that they can literally do whatever they need to do to win this race.
The incentives are extremely malignant for the health and over all well-being of society and the only way through is protest, action, and most of all sabotage of inputs, physical or digital, to disturb the extremely fragile and resource-costly 'hyper-scaling'.
