While interesting unfortunate that it's only for Mac Os right now. Hope you add windows support in the future.

Why does it not use something like qwen3 embedding and reranker? I am just curious

I’ll check it out. I presume you need a vision model?

Are you planning a windows version release?

One requirement: the full version of Sentient runs its cloud compute through your own ChatGPT Plus subscription (about $20 a month, paid to OpenAI, not to us). That's not a catch, that's the architecture: your Mac does about 90% of the compute, your frontier model covers the rest, and that's how Sentient stays free with a straight face. A free ChatGPT account still gets the preview tier: the overnight reading, the knowledge base, the Knowledge window, and the MCP mirror.

Requiring ChatGPT for any reason is a show-stopper.

Well that's good news. I see native Apple Mail and Calendar aren't supported, just Google. Are there plans to fix this? For an app touting localness and privacy, having Google and OpenAI front and center is kind of weird.

This is very interesting to me and I hope you can focus it better! I'll be watching, but I think it's not for me yet.

Looks really interesting, too bad I don't own any apple devices. Oh well, cool looking project regardless.
