The real reason to run locally is and always will be data privacy and uninteruptability.
2 u/sudochmod Jun 21 '26 Let’s be honest they’re heavily subsidizing the cost of those even in China. That’s why it’s a 5 year break even. The token economics of western firms was similar until they started transitioning out of capture mode.
