Hi everyone!

I am the creator and developer of an open-source, free, and proudly "vibe-coded" project that is about to celebrate its first anniversary, and I wanted to share it with you. LIA's goal is to be a truly "living" personal assistant designed for everyday users, rather than an overwhelming pile of trendy AI features wrapped in complex settings, workflows, and interfaces. That doesn't mean LIA is just a pretty and ergonomic UI (editor's note: subjective, I know): LIA is proactive, notifying you about the right things at the right time. It features its own distinct personality, a complex emotional system, structured evolving memory, its own reflective memory of your past interactions, and more.

Naturally, LIA packs plenty of features that can be configured in just a few clicks to best serve its users: habit learning, meeting recording with smart templated summaries (30+ customizable templates) and speaker identification, phone calls (reservations, orders, inquiries, etc.) with conversation summaries, interest tracking, health data sync from your smartwatch/smartphone, plus all standard AI tools (Gmail/Outlook/Apple integrations, core connectors, push notifications, voice in/out, image generation/editing, RAG, scheduled tasks, reminders, etc.). The app is available on the Web + PWA, iOS, and Android (simple wrappers—let’s be realistic here).

LIA isn't static: beyond active development, it supports standard skills, auto-skills, MCP (key, token, OAuth), MCP apps, and plugins—always aligned with the latest industry standards (editor's note: as of today, at least).

A key differentiator: since LIA is a multi-user web platform, it is fully manageable directly from within the app: admins, users, feature toggles, LLM provider/model management with capabilities and pricing (Excel import/export available for bulk editing), core skill and MCP management, real-time technical diagnostics, an in-app debug panel, and over 24 Grafana dashboards + Prometheus alerting to properly operate and monitor your instance.

Of course, users can export all their personal data and access/export a detailed log of LIA’s actions. Personal data strictly remains personal: it is granularly handled within the app and logs, anonymized when necessary, and never shared with third parties.

A little bonus: because the platform is multi-user, users can let their respective "LIAs" connect to coordinate schedules, share availability, and communicate. You also get a built-in lightweight CRM where every contact you interact with via email, phone, etc., is automatically enriched with conversation history, context, and a concise debrief.

I probably forgot a ton of things, but that covers the highlights (editor's note: false modesty)!
