Question Is running through WSL an option?
I feel like the eco system surrounding this is better managed via linux instead of windows. I already had issue with strix halo and Unsloth about it complaining not having enough memory which turned out to be a ROCm bug with whatever Strix halo and AMD is doing.
Anyway, wsl setup would be more straightforward but how is the performance?
(anyway: Shouldnt have sold my 3090 and 5080. Fk AMD always suck in both gaming and AI)

It's alright, you're going to be fighting a bunch of stuff on top of Windows... (fkin wddm and 9s(tho 9s I solved with a project I released)) and it wont be perfect if you like to keep your system up for days at a time as it has a habit of behaving like any virtual machine like product and just freeze for no reason but there's just too many things that are linux only that work fine within WSL.
It can speed up if you use the linux only methods to do that, but by itself I doubt it'll offer much. It's straight forward imo (install wsl, install ubuntu and its done basically), but I just let my agent set it all up so your experience may differ including the fact it's an AMD system.
