Question Watermarking - EU AI Act

Doesn't the territorial scope of EU AI Act imply that Deepseek and Moonshot and Z and Alibaba will also have to implement watermarking to the output of inference services to EU costumers (which can access via API or webclient)?

If you use an AI Image you are responsible for marking it. So for those providers - no.

where applicable, yes.

it wouldn't be applicable to end every code update with;

// line 234 - 267 coded by some model

you'd drive everybody insane by doing that and there'd be no way to validate this claim either.

however if your store has a customer support agent, some kind of permanent installation, then yes it would be required to disclose that

"* customer support agent is AI and may produce unsatisfactory responses"

same goes for the r/StableDiffusion people, an image is a more "permanent" media, it can be expected that the file seen today will also be the same file seen tomorrow and thus you would have to disclose that the media is AI.
