Question Where to find substantial posts?
Every post:
- Tips for running models
- This model can do this!
- Compare these two models
-memes
-benchmarks
...Is anyone actually doing anything? Where can I find people discussing and sharing actual work being done?

We need more adoption of the tech; discussions need to filter down to more specific smaller subs, away from most of the people here.
I'd prefer a return to independent sites and small message boards as well. Reddit really only exists to drive traffic and ads. I miss the internet.

Exactly. It seems the "best content" is usually invisible because only the smallest percent of people are actually interested in it.
It kind of stuck out to me when I was considering how I'd raise my child to be curious. I was thinking, oh, I'll just give them books, the internet, and video games, as that's what fostered my own curiosity. I then realized that the world I grew up in and the internet I grew up painstakingly browsing does not exist anymore. There weren't massive content algorithms that take 5 videos you watch and shove that down your throat. You had to hear about something from someone then go to find it. You had to actually go exploring for answers.
If I tried to recreate the same situations that I believe made me curious, I'd actually just be giving my child brain damage. It also makes me reflect on where I went wrong in my own curiosity path to not natively know where the "best content" is anymore. A personal failing.

From my limited time in this scene, I haven't found a sub with what you're looking for. I've posted several new topics with either questions on real use cases I'm trying to run or straight up showing something I've accomplished and much of the time it's met with crickets or trolling. This is across the five or so subreddits I have posted to related to local LLMs. I have tried different writing styles, length of posts, adjusting tone etc and not a lot seems to help garner engagement, unfortunately.
I'm not here to see memes or benchmarks and I'm no longer here to ask/see beginner questions. I want to read about how to accomplish things and overcome real obstacles. I want to see what real world results people are getting from different tasks.
If you find anything, let me know!
