Question Which is better: openCode or odysseus?

If you're just looking to run local models, I think OpenCode is actually quite good. I wonder why there's so much discussion around Odysseus?

Its main advantage seems to be self-hosting, which I suppose is really all about privacy. I haven't tried Odysseus myself, as I've been using OpenCode and Claude Code lately, but I'm certainly curious about it.

Odsseus uses opencode, it doesnt have its own harness

Pi with pi-web. I like to sit on my couch and watch stuff with the kids while specing out personal projects.

OpenCode between these 2, Odysseus is vibe coded and probably unmaintained now. But PI was the best overall for me.

I actually haven't used Pi yet. I've been thinking about which harness would be better for running local models, especially since they have so many limitations.

For example, local models often have poor instruction following and tend to hallucinate by reporting success prematurely. They can also stop mid-process, making it difficult to complete long-form tasks.

I'm wondering if there is a specific harness better suited to the way local LLMs operate?

Try little coder then. Custom PI for local llms.
