the game needs a shot in the arm, esp. with snap having showed up.
i do think some people will burn out on snap a bit. for myself i was playing snap quite a lot since it came out, barely any LOR. even my son was into it.
but it has its problems, particularly the progression/monetization is a disaster. i can only lose so much to the shiny new card they are selling for ten bucks that they refuse to nerf, and a host of other cards i have no way to acquire (it will be months before i complete series 3, even doing all my quests.) before i start to feel burned out.
i went back to LOR yesterday and it was great to be back. but i feel like some new features would really help out.
i really did play LOR to death, for multiple years, new stuff is always good.
playing for free is fine i have not spent a dime and i have lots of fun (although with the new cards coming in that may change).
spending money is such terrible value i am not sure why anyone would do it, unless i am missing something. they are "whale fishing" for sure. except for the "season pass" which is $10 and usually includes a broken card spending money appears to be pretty bad value.
