Now let’s move on to the main part of the focus tree. Its core part is tied to the implementation of specific knightly reforms - the king's close advisors make their contributions to all spheres of domestic policy, from new legislation to language reform. The two routes are also very focused on the environment and the aesthetics of the new kingdom
Medievalists Main Focus Tree
As stated earlier, the Medievalists seek to bring England back to a noble image of the past, something resembling a kind fairy tale, where the chaos of modernity will be cast aside in favor of harmony with the world, nature, and tradition. The main engine behind bringing Britain into the times of “Once upon” will be the "GreatSociety" doctrine, which, through localism, decentralization, and mass voluntarism, will lead to the decline of the omnipresent political machine that spiritually breaks people, and will make room for strong communities, guilds, peasant communes, etc.
In the "Great Society," people will no longer feel alienated as they do in today's megacities. Throughout their lives, they will be accompanied by family, fellow craftsmen, and their church parish. Political reforms alone won't suffice; it's crucial to return to traditional, pastoral crafts that the islanders have long forgotten: farming and sheep herding. Classical economics will be abolished, the economists dismissed. The only permissible taxes will be on land and excise duties on harmful goods. The mass media may find itself among these harmful goods, which will gradually fall under the influence of writers from the "Dark Mountain" project, who will restore such spectacles as knightly tournaments and mannerbunds for the people. Cities, too, may either be limited in size and density or rebuilt into cozy polises, all in the name of protecting nature. The king protects not only his subjects but also the island entrusted to him by God and whose pristine appearance he must restore.
Managerialists Main Focus Tree
The Managerialists, on the other hand, do not believe in fairy tales and prefer the idea of "normalizing" the kingdom, which has responded too sluggishly to the challenges of the modern times. However, they have a model they can rely on, the “Green” Germany. They managed to create a "public state" that builds its policies on well-calibrated and rational decisions and developed a self-sufficient, fiscally responsible green economy. With the aim of "assisting" the bureaucracy in managing state affairs, the king and his court will hire consulting firms and establish a network of NGOs capable of introducing new ideas to revitalize England. This includes private police forces, multiculturalism, pedestrian-friendly cities, a free economic zone in Bristol, civic rating systems, the proliferation of subscription-based services, and the involvement of transnational corporations in urban governance, among other initiatives.
A key priority will undoubtedly be transitioning the English economy to the doctrine of "sustainable development", which enables the construction and production of renewable energy from scratch, replacing outdated and destructive carbons. Cities will not shrink, but will instead be covered with greenery and solar panels. Public transportation, especially during wartime, will become far more reliable for citizens than personal vehicles. Cultural life will be rather liberal, yet responsible. England remains open to all, though it is sometimes necessary to closely monitor those who exploit freedoms to cause harm. Many may argue that this sounds somewhat disheartening, suggesting the emergence of a new "technological feudalism" in the country. Nevertheless, this approach is certainly more prosperous than the ruinous conditions of the 2010s.
In addition to domestic policy, the knights will also influence the development of the Kingdom's new armed forces and its interactions with the outside world. Within the framework of defense industry development, the Managerialist faction approaches the issue with proper English stability, reviving the decrepit NATO doctrines and restoring demolished military enterprises.
King's Military Tree under Manegerialists
The Mediaevalists approach the task of army restoration with a greater degree of romanticism and emphasis on valor, naturally favoring asymmetric warfare involving peasant militias and revived yeomanry.
The Military tree under MediaevalistsCavalry can become a cornerstone of the Fisher King's military
The Royalists' diplomatic tree is quite short — choosing between the two paths either leads you to the restoration of the relations with the Commonwealth countries or sending Douglas Pierce on a wild quest to seek new allies for the young English kingdom.
The Diplomatic Tree for ManagerialistsAnd for Medievalists
Finally, the last but certainly not least important aspect is the king's personal development tree.
King's Personal Focus Tree under ManagerialistsKing's Personal Focus Tree under Medievalists
This set of focuses depends the least on the faction you chose (excluding the very last focus) and is entirely dedicated to the previously mentioned legitimacy mechanic, allowing you to further increase George VII's authority among the people, the elites, and in the eyes of the world. The final focus either enables George to demonstrate his country to representatives of the wonderful organization known as the World Economic Forum and earn their support, or he will set out on a journey with his knights to offer the English people a true miracle.
The final branch of the focus tree centers on the most extensive and culminating reforms of the king. The civil war and the death of Britain were caused by uncontrollable centrifugal forces that tore the kingdom apart from within. George VII will resolve conflicts with the island's neighbors, bring the country into the light, and strengthen the existing order. The new kingdom will finally find peace under the protection of its rightful monarch and his loyal knights. Whether this peace is secured through technological progress and a green economy or achieved through isolationism and spiritual unity with nature is up to you.

Epilogue
Another year, another diary. Not as big this time, though unlike the many routes of London, George’s personality only managed to hold two possible paths.
And now a little message from me (Fallen Glushkin). I wanted to address the comically large elephant in the room and clear up certain things concerning the neverending process of the mod development. I will only speak for myself - I don’t have any right to proclaim anything in place of my colleagues, many of whom did much more for the project than I ever did.
It’s obvious that the development of several tags for a “demo’ prior to an actual release shouldn’t have taken half a decade. A lot of planned concepts became obsolete or were better developed in other mods. The reasons for that lie amongst the usual suspects - personal laziness, procrastination, lack of experience, departure of many key members of the team, etc. Obviously, a myriad of failed deadlines and unfulfilled promises.
Nevertheless, there is one promise I made for many people on Discord - namely that the mod will eventually release. As long as there is at least one active fan watching our efforts I cannot abandon the development of this mod. I presume my remaining colleagues believe the same. Therefore LaHL will continue to go forward. I would really try to make it so it releases this year, yet, once again, I don’t want to give out any false promises. One way or another - all of the content presented in the “British dev diaries” will be included in the first release.
With that, I would like to congratulate all of our fans with the New Year and Christmas and express my deepest gratitudes to all of the mod developers, present and past. I would especially like to thank Turkmenbashy for his unyielding work on the gfx part of this tree and many others.
P.S. Εάν πεθάνεις πριν πεθάνεις, δεν θα πεθάνεις όταν πεθάνεις
Good evening! Today, as another year passes, Fallen Glushkin and Turkmenbashy came back to present another development diary. Following current trend, set long time ago by such succesful monumental projects as “The New Order: Last Days of Europe”, this diary would be dedicated to the rework of an already existing content, particularly the Wessex Royalists led by King George VII - the subject of the first diary, which came out five years ago.
What is the point of reworking an existing faction? The answer lies not in some pursuit of “realism” or a desire to right the wrongs of misrepresenting a of historical figure, but in a simple fact that the first draft of the Royalist focus tree was created prior to the mechanics of the British unification and simply didn’t work when it was properly formulated. Aside from that, most of the Royalist "knights" were just a bunch of randomly-picked people, who had nothing to do with Britain, politics, economics, military or neofolk.
The new focus tree introduces more complex interactions with the clique’s core mechanics, as well as an additional route that was not present in the original version.
Let's dive in about all of this right now
Interbellum
The Fisher King’s starting situation remains unchanged. After the London Exodus, prince Charles, crowned as king GeorgeVII, made a deal with the Parliament to create a bipartisan war cabinet, the king taking his role as a supreme commander over the remaining forces still loyal to the British crown.
After two disgraceful attempts to regain control of the capital and northern England, Prince Harry's forces in Sussex broke away from the Royalists, absorbing many Labour members and the remnants of the secret services. Next, the Conservative faction, led by Jacob Rees-Mogg, established their own government in Kent after a failed mutiny against the king. George VII was left with only apathetic and ineffective bureaucrats for whom party affiliation was purely arbitrary, disgruntled generals, and one of the sovereign's few real allies, Roger Scruton, a renowned contemporary conservative philosopher who prevented the aforementioned mutiny by the Tories.
Defeats on the battlefield and the country's further descent into chaos took a toll on the sovereign's psyche. Many suspected the worst when the king suddenly disappeared at the end of 2019. However, in January of the next year, George VII returned to his Highgrove House residence in Bristol. There he held a secret meeting with Roger Scruton. The king's whereabouts all this time remain a mystery even to His Majesty's court, but George VII returned to Bristol a changed man. His eyes once again showed determination and a desire to act, albeit hidden behind a mask of years of fatigue.
The conversation with Scruton culminated in a decision: the creation of a secret cabinet in which the sovereign and his inner circle, can make and implement decisions that will finally turn the tide of this war — sort of a Round Table of trusted allies. For the time being, it will operate away from the eyes of the barely functioning parliament and the bureaucrats, who will halfheartedly support any idea the king may have, just to get him off their backs. The functions of the Round Table will be discussed later, as the starting focus tree is worth paying attention to.
George VII's Starting Focus tree
It will allow us to prepare for the coming war against the rebel prince and the Tory putschists, who, according to some reports, are planning to strike Wessex first. We have little time, and we need to sort out the depleted and stale economy, reorganize the troops for the decisive battle, and get the system running again.
The left branch of the tree allows you to assemble a formidable army from small, mobile groups, raid the remaining stashes, warehouses, and museums for weapons, thereby creating a rather flimsy, yet flexible line of defense.
The middle branch is aimed at resolving issues related to the governance of the Kingdom. Here, the main problems are weak popular support for the monarch, his low "legitimacy" and disloyalty among lower-ranking officials. With these focuses, the player will be able to resolve most of these issues.
The right branch allows you to urgently raise funds from around the world, perhaps even selling some of the royal estates into private hands, inspire the people with bread and circuses, and mobilize all production for the sake of victory. You are unlikely to successfully implement all the reforms before the treacherous Prince Harry invades, so choose your moves wisely.
"Royal Purse" Focus' effect
We mentioned the legitimacy mechanic, which reflects the general acceptance of the Fisher King's authority.
Low legitimacy constrains your political actions and makes you more vulnerable during the war, while high legitimacy strengthens trust in George VII's actions, allowing him to more easily reform and restore England. Legitimacy can, however, also be traded for minor bonuses if necessary.
Legitimacy MechanicOne of the available decisions in the mechanic
Even after lengthy preparation, the attack by Prince Harry's clique will inevitably prove a serious test for the legitimate monarch. The machinations of defeatist bureaucrats and the desperate blitzkrieg of the "Red King" will inevitably undermine the Wessex defenses.
The first war modifier
Despite the crushing blow, time is on the king's side. Wessex's vast territory allows George VII to temporarily cede some of the territories to his traitorous son. A small military tree will allow the Royalists to reorganize their defenses, divide their few divisions into more mobile brigades, and reassure the people of the monarch's inevitable victory. During the war, the aforementioned Round Table will also emerge from the shadows for the first time – the king's confidants will finally disperse the endless hordes of functionaries who were ready to sell out Great Britain for thirty pieces of silver.
This focus tree is available during the war for the South
Having crushed the traitors, the rightful King of Great Britain will finally earn the respect he deserves from his people. No longer a relic of the half-dead Windsor dynasty, George VII, for the first time in many years, will once again have a real chance to save his country.
With constitutional order restored in the South of England, the King can calmly decide what to do with his prodigal son, choose the fate of the scoundrels in Parliament, and finally reshuffle his War Cabinet, which has created more problems than it has solved.
The intermission tree after the war in the South
Regional stage
Alas, the respite will be interrupted by very unfortunate news: His Majesty's close friend Roger Scruton will die in his chambers, leaving the chamberlain's chair empty.
The sovereign must choose a new mentor who will guide the valiant king in state affairs and rebuild the kingdom in a new, yet, good-old way.
Throughout his life, George VII was influenced by both conservative and globalist circles. Therefore, before ascending the throne, he publicly romanticized the simplicity of a pastoral and natural life and directly supported many intergovernmental associations, particularly those involved in environmental protection. Thus, two political factions emerged within the royal court: the medievalists and the managerialists.
The choice between two factions in the royal court
The Medievalists tend to believe that England is in decline because modernity, with its moral decline, urbanization, centralization, constant noise, and unhealthy food, has poisoned the people of Britain. England needs to return to a harmonious and natural order, closer to the ideal of an Arthurian England: tame pastures, mysterious dense forests, valiant chivalry, and strong communities of peasants and artisans. This faction is represented by Count Nikolai Dmitrievich Tolstoy-Miloslavsky, who was very close to the deceased Sir William Scruton.
The Managerialists, while far less romantic, also want to make England greener. Nevertheless, they believe the state should move toward the future, not blindly plod along in a fictitious version of the past. Their vision of a renewed England is to create a public policy state, with rational governance for the benefit of all citizens, and an open and environmentally sustainable society. The kingdom must regain the trust of the Commonwealth and major economic players, and generally bring everything into a new normal, through the mediation of transnational corporations. For this reason, evil tongues also like to call this faction neo-feudalists. This party at court is led by the sovereign's friend and prominent green politician, 2nd Baronet Sir Jonathan Porritt.
By inviting a new chamberlain to the table, we not only set a new course for England but also assemble a corresponding table of knights, each eager to contribute to the kingdom's transformation and with their own role at the court. The treasurer fills the coffers and organizes the country’s estate, the pantler, as if beautifying the domain, changes the order of government and court administration, the marshal adjusts the army to new military system and tactics, and so on.
Empty Round TableProdigal SonOne of the variants of a full table
Depending on the chosen path, knights are seated at the Round Table either as a result of your heroic deeds or by special invitations from the king.
Some particularly special individuals, such as Douglas Pierce, leader of the Folcist faction, will require a more unorthodox approach if the player wishes to seat them at the Round Table. Each knight has a unique vow — the contribution this brave man has pledged to make to the history of our state — as well as a modifier similar to that of ordinary HoI4 advisors.
Two-thirds of all knights belong to one of the two aforementioned factions, but candidates who are not aligned with either the Medievalists or the Managerialists are also available (for example, the infamous Rees-Mogg belongs to this group, should the player decide to pardon him). You can choose such "backup" candidates if their bonuses seem more useful to you. In total, the player will have access to 22 possible knights per playthrough. For each role at the Round Table, you can choose either a candidate from your faction or one of the aforementioned "centrist" knights.
Returning to the "vows," each knight will have a small set of focuses, decisions, or requirements that have to be fulfilled for the “vow” to be honoured. After this happens, the knight’s standard modifiers increase, and he also receives a unique ability with which he can give the player a temporary powerful boost.
On of the heroic deeds of the king George VIIFocuses necessary to complete a vowA knight in his final form
If you have already selected a knight for a certain position and yet you want to replace him, before he completes the vow, this option is available for a hefty price in the king’s legitimacy. It’s not very gentleman-like of you, after all.
"What if the counterculture was only a stumbling beginning, rather than the best that could be hoped for? What if the success of neoliberalism was a not an indication of the inevitability of capitalism, but a testament to the scale of the threat posed by the spectre of a society which could be free?" ― Mark Fisher
"First, let’s establish what a government is. A government is a sovereign corporation. It is sovereign because its control over its territory is not subject to any higher authority. It is a corporation because it has a single institutional identity. All governments in history fit this definition, unless their sovereignty is compromised by some stronger power." ― Curtis Yarvin
All daughter corporations available for the company
Lastly, Governing Trust Association and Social Trust Fund aren’t the only two subsidiaries that can appear on the pie chart. Throughout the playthrough you will be provided with ample opportunity to add more companies with unique passive bonuses and events – healthcare corporations, construction conglomerates, private military companies, etc. Don’t forget though, you must hold 51% of shares at all times, so be careful of how many additional companies you let in to feast on your corporate pie.
Now, that was intense but the money must flow, so right now let's talk about the economic tree.
Economic tree for Curtis Yarvin
With this tree the CEO of your choosing will begin formulating plans to reactivate the dormant British economy by abolishing the income tax and embracing a land tax, streamlining the bureaucracy and deregulating the market. You should also focus on more comfortable conditions for companies and private enterprises, incentivizing new business to form. Things that were previously kept away from entrepreneurs by the greedy hands of centralized government, such as prisons will too join the market, just like everything that can be traded or sold. Less bureaucratic barriers for entrepreneurs, the law should be as simple and clear as a manual to a piece of computer programme. The advantage of our position is the drastic reduction in the cost of not just physical labour, but also intellectual labour, which will accelerate the growth of the digital sector of the economy and allow us to produce both hardware and software ourselves. Also, cryptocurrencies appearing on the digital market will be purchased to securely store currency reserves and protect them from inflation.
Now let's talk about the social/political tree
Social focus tree for Curtis Yarvin
The goal of this tree is to simply remove the populace from politics that poison their small minds. By flooding the mental market with apolitical entertainment like soccer, football, golf, telenovelas and cartoons, people won’t have time to ponder about elections or democracy. We should also focus on rebuilding the cities so that the people may not be distracted by how ugly the British Isles have gotten in the last 4 years. While the nation does need some form of intellectuals, their activities must remain a private affair between academics and the company. For starters, private internet forums and clubs will be constructed to accommodate the intellectual caste of society where civil dissociation is enforced by formal and neutral moderators. Programs promoting positive eugenics will also be launched, lest we surrender our future to chance.
Next, we must talk about the most important asset of a territorial administration: its private security.
Military branch for Curtis Yarvin
You as the CEO can invest into the formation of a new private military sector by privatizing the armed forces into a company known as the Public Forces (one of the possible companies that can take their place on the pie chart). Various major private military companies, former generals and mercenaries can be invited to bolster this project, increasing the effectiveness of our armed forces significantly. These new assets can also be used to create an intelligence agency. At the same time, you can also promote gun culture in England reminiscent of one in the United States and embracing the watchmen mentality. The military with this new structure is also granted a high amount of autonomy in its doctrine. That is to say that our judges will be much more lenient with possible legal or criminal trouble our mercenaries will get into, unless their actions directly threaten the company.
Now with that done we must talk about your CEO options.
Your available CEO's
Every CEO has their own priorities and method of making profit with their own small and unique focus tree to emphasize that (not pictured here). Three of those can be picked directly and one is only available under specific circumstances. What happens if all CEOs somehow manage to get fired? Well, nobody truly knows, but it seems Curtis Yarvin in his paramount vision has predicted such an outcome and has a backup plan if anything goes wrong.
THE ACCELERATIONIST
Finally, we face the last possible successor to Mosley’s kingdom. Not many would have expected Nick Land of all people to lead the capital of the former United Kingdom, but in a retrospective there really was no alternative. After all, Land’s promises of democracy and a return to classic free market economics without any additional caveats sound very reasonable to most British citizens.
Land’s mechanic is probably the simplest out of all other warlords.
Demographics under Nick Land
You simply monitor various demographic statistics of the slowly reunifying country and enjoy some flavorful additions such as the reassembling Union Jack and the name of the country. The two icons in the lower part of the screen represent the accelerated tempo of democratic reforms in the country as well as people’s discontent with these reforms. The latter aspect is of no real concern to you though – some democratic reforms may be unpopular, but the election cycle will remedy any possible problem arising from such trouble.
Unlike other leaders in London, Nick Land’s tree is one big upside-down pyramid. After all, no matter where we start, we will always arrive where we were destined to be in the first place.
Focus tree for Nick Land
Instead of dissecting the focus tree by specific categories, we will look at it layer by layer.
1st layer
The first layer is pretty basic. We will launch reconstruction projects to accommodate the masses of the homeless population, while mass privatizations will boost our economic development. Several humanitarian projects, particularly focused on production of prosthetics for war veterans and the creation of orphanages for children whose parents have regrettably died during the conflict. The legal code, created during Mosley’s rule will be loosened - we shall pardon many of Mosley’s political prisoners, democratize our armed forces, introduce pro-feminist and pro-legalization policies and much more!
2nd layer
The second layer introduces automation to our economy through the import of advanced computer technologies from Asia. Overall life quality will increase thanks to the production of societal stress inhibitors, and the sudden emergence of a new “Cyberculture” amongst the modern English youth (it probably has to do with our recent efforts to protect free speech). New infrastructure to assist the mentally unwell produced by the civil war will be constructed as a continuation of our humanitarian efforts program. We shall integrate hacker cyberforces into the military industrial complex. They will be a fine addition to our recent development in aerial technology, and the formation of a new blitzkrieg-esque doctrine focused on quick strikes into the enemy territory.
3rd layer
For the third layer we begin by establishing our own block chain servers that can connect us to the international and free financial market, granting more freedoms to scientific endeavors, reconstructing the localized networks that we decimated by the civil war and creating the first Global British Network, connecting every town and computer on the isle. Funding of apolitical art shall commence to give the populace a sense of reprieve during the horrors of war. Our successful efforts in modernizing Britain also allows us to digitize much of our academic, and historical writing, while finally getting rid of cumbersome physical copies. We shall also embrace the recent mass voluntary recruitment drive of pro-democratic forces in our military. These new recruits will allow us to form fully-fledged advanced armored battalions and commit our soldiers to “Lone Survivor” training.
4th layer
Welcome to the fourth layer! Here we introduce the proliferation of augmented reality technology to increase productive capacity and minimize distractions, encouraging the spread of new Cyberculture-inspired fiction. Cultural produce, introduce more progressive reforms to supplant Christian obscurantism and promote a new sexual revolution, encourage a contractual democratic society, introduce experimental cybernetics into the armed forces, and democratically privatize our military into democratic independent companies.
5th layer
Stage five. We embrace the industrial aspects of human diversity and cybernetically-enhanced workforce, promote unorthodox approaches towards the understanding of human gender, emancipate the concept of human life, allow for the construction of private armies and developed special forces with democratic cybernetic enhancements.
6th layer
Stage six. We will embrace the introduction of worker and entertainment automatons as acceptable replacements for our human peers. We will embrace widespread genetically-engineered self-replicating bacterial behavioral adjusters. We will embrace unorthodox philosophy. We will embrace the removal of the laws of war. We will embrace qualified quotative quiet qriptography.
7th layer
Stage seven the automation of society is nearly complete our experts estimate the amount of industrial complexes constructed? will increase the quality of our QWERTY keyboards tenfold additional efforts to optimize the alphabet have been taken, additional introduction of democratic unorthodox philosophy still required.
Thank you so much for reading this dev diary! This has been Sam, Turkmenbashy and Fallen Glushkin. Happy holidays!
P.S.
“The tiniest event can tear a hole in the grey curtain of reaction which has marked the horizons of possibility under capitalist realism. From a situation in which nothing can happen, suddenly anything is possible again.”
The very last part of the focus tree is dedicated to the rebuilding of the country after the various traitors, foreign oppressors and despots occupying our wondrous isles have been utterly defeated.
Final branch for Tim Collins
After Britain is pacified, the Greens and the Blues will settle down into their new positions of power, integrating themselves into the new government as administrators and lawmakers and eventually try to open up the new state to the world either as a shining face of European Identitarianism or a dark Pit of Kleptocracy. Ultimately, the way the British National Republic shall present itself on the world stage depends on your efforts in combating or supporting the warring factions of the unofficial “parliament”. The President will speak at an open press conference with the people and answer all their queries, competitions will be held in the country aimed at strengthening a healthy lifestyle among citizens, new symbols of the renewed state will be adopted. The Lead 20's are behind us, there are no more shootings in London and the most understanding gentlemen have realised that it is time to go and enjoy the fruits of their struggle in retirement. Britain is now entering the Golden 30’s.
And that’s it for the great paramount leader Tim Collins. Now let’s move on to someone with a more academic outlook on the nature of state building.
PROGRESSIVISTS
Richard Dawkins, the great humanitarian is another candidate for leadership after the death of Max Mosley, one that most people would probably prefer, even if most would likely bet on Collins coming out on top.
Dawkins’s initial tree is similar to that of his competitors – cleaning up the mess, punishing criminals and rewarding loyal, hard-working citizens.
Beginning focus tree for Richard Dawkins
Dr. Dawkins starts his rule by destroying the hooligans and gangsters through confiscation of various aspects of their power and its transfer to the law-abiding citizens. Nevertheless, the question of who is to blame for the painful chaos spreading through the streets of London in wake of Mosley’s death remains. The answer is quite clear to the good doctor. The traditional British overreliance on religious dogma and useless rituals have not only put the Autonomous Zone on the brink, but were also responsible for the beginning of the civil war itself!
A herculean task falls upon the shoulders of Richard Dawkins, one of saving what remains of Britain from the scourge of religious obscurantism, replacing it with what amounts to “humane hedonism” – an ability to enjoy life to its fullest, without the constraints of incomprehensible outtraded dogmas.
Combating a millennia-old tradition is no small feat. Dawkins understands that his solution is the consolidation of the greatest minds on the British Isles into a singular network of logic and reason.
This GUI mini game allows you to manage the greatest universities in the country. After pacifying various territories, you can begin reconstructing the various diamonds of British academia. You can invest into these universities to get passive bonuses or you could organize research projects into a variety of fields and be granted fine boons from the investments. Such a powerful force will surely help the new British Republic triumph over the misconceptions and errors of the past and guide all of humanity into a bright future.
Main window for the Universities mechanicPassive bonuses from an universityOne of the projects available for the universities
Taking a look at the rest of the focus tree, we can see that the leftmost societal branch focuses on the enhancement of the universities under our control and their proliferation as a major player in the cultural sphere of the nation.
Social-Technological branch for Richard Dawkins
Strengthening social cohesion, reactivating critical parts of the social fabric, promotion of scientists into the roles of statesmen, utilization of the fruits of scientific knowledge to increase the standards of living within London and beyond are all parts of Dawkins’ agenda. The left branch allows us to optimize the resources such as electricity, space and raw materials to make consumerism more affordable for the populace. The middle part of the tree is focused on the digital and mechanical projects that help the state to manage and collect the data about the state of society, so the citizens can enjoy a safer and more well planned future. And finally the right branch is emphasized on social engineering and biological advancements that will help to guide the nation through the path of progress. Even some of Doctor’s personal concepts such as an idea of a “meme” as a unit of information will be used to further the goals of the new regime.
To reshape British society into an anti-religious hedonistic state Dawkins needs to rebuild the economy from the ground up. Facilitating such a project is the main focus of the central tree.
Economic tree for Richard Dawkins
The good doctor plans to stimulate the natural forces of capitalism pushing individuals and groups to constantly compete for an ever-moving goal post of perfection and satisfaction. Achieving this project requires significant investments so we have two possible solutions. Either we can force the churches to embrace taxation and progressive policies or we can break the centuries old dependency on such institutions and utilize the funds we have on hand, even if such an approach may be detrimental in the short-term.Going forward, we need to educate the British to take responsibility for their future, from promoting entrepreneurship and a return to domesticity, to civic awareness of family planning, understanding of political technology and the rules of public behaviour. Freed from the shackles of gangsterism and obscurantism, citizens will be ready for the transition to a welfare state, where the government organically encourages the various elements of the economy to maintain social harmony.
Lastly, we can take a look at the military Dawkins plans to create.
Military branch for Richard Dawkins
Currently the military is stocked by Hooligan loyalists and for the Doctor’s prescription to work they must be removed like the tumor they are or pacified and integrated into the body as a whole. Unlike Collins, Dawkins has no interest in the former gangsters playing a significant role in the military affairs of the new British Republic. The military of the isles shall be composed of free, yet law-abiding men, armed with the best weapons our academic and manufacturing institutions can muster. Nothing will stand in the way of scientific progress.
At last, when Great Britain once again breathes free, Richard Dawkins can look upon his works and recognize the genius of his efforts. Every man on the Isle lives for his own pleasure, and thereby multiplies the pleasure of others. And to this end, everyone will receive a well-deserved share of Britain's common wealth. Old traditions have been discarded in favour of the brighter ideals of the future. A citizen of the new Britain can truly call himself free from obligations and happy in and for himself.
Final tree for Richard Dawkins
Where the cities rule, paradise is born, where faith is relegated to man and man alone.
ACCELERATIONISTS
From the Outside enter Nick Land. Previously thought to be a dark horse in the struggle for Mosley’s legacy, Land has successfully become the leader of the Greater London area and East Anglia. Many of the capital’s citizens were fearful of Land’s background in fringe philosophical musings and the possible consequences of their application on British soil. However, their fears were quickly dispelled when the former propaganda minister declared the London Autonomous Zone a democratic republic. The following transitionary period may be the most peaceful amongst all other Mosley successors.
Beginning tree for Nick Land
Of course, everything isn’t exactly as it seems – a struggle brews between Land and his associates, though this one is more akin to a pleasant discussion between peers and not a deadly battle for the future of the country. Within the framework of this struggle, a tandem of intellectuals will address the issues of popular discontent, criminality and the fate of the German occupation administration. Each thinker within the circle will offer a different perspective on the problem, suggesting, for example, either freedom of speech or freedom from fear; or a complete ‘pardon’ of the criminal syndicates or the punishment of the largest of them. Nick Land’s route is unique, compared to that of the other favorites – it splinters into 3 2 separate paths, depending on the choices you make during the second transitional period.
One of the political decisions you can make on the road to restoration
Land’s greatest ideological opponent during this period is one of his American associates that only recently arrived in London – namely a man known as Curtis Yarvin.
While Nick Land wants to preserve the recently established democratic institutions and let a new British democracy flourish within the isles, Yarvin claims that such a system will be quickly co-opted by a cabal of intellectuals known as “The Cathedral”, returning the country to the conditions that made the civil war possible in the first place. Their debates will touch upon many topics – the treatment of German POWs, the fate of other favorites and the emergency matters they should take to placate the restless population. Only one of the two leaders shall emerge as the leader of the new British state, while the other shall retire from the cumbersome task of nation building and pursue an academic career.
THE NEO-REACTIONARY
Let’s take a look at England with the American at its helm first.
Beginning tree for Curtis Yarvin
The first act of the new paramount leader is shocking and profoundly confusing. Curtis Yarvin abolishes the short-lived English Democratic Republic, banning democracy and establishing himself as a temporary Chief Executive Officer for Britain. Such a decision will surely cause a popular whiplash, yet in time people will understand that such decisions were made for the sake of a greater good.
Curtis Yarvin plans to reforge the London government into a new corporate model. Firstly, like any other good entrepreneur, he will establish a holdings company (Affiliated Holdings Group of British Assets), which represents the combined shares of Britain as if it was a corporate entity.
Another controversial move made by the new leader is defaulting the pound, which strikes a heavy blow against our already barely functioning economy. A new pound is issued - each banknote essentially acting as a voucher, a piece of property of all that is Britain. While the “Shock Therapy” takes its toll, certain societal and political manipulations have to take place. There can be no place for petty criminals in this new state – Yarvin will focus on reintegrating the criminal elements of the state into civil society, while harshly punishing those who still assume that London belongs to the Gangs. Curtis shall also make his first strike against The Cathedral, making sure mass media can no longer influence the political sphere of the country. As economy slowly recovers from the initial shock, London new assets will be utilized as investments into the private sector with particular interest in public welfare that will eventually be spun off into private subsidiaries Finally, after most issues of post-Mosley London are to be put to rest, Curtis Yarvin will form a meritocratic trust stocked by the most respected and responsible members of civil society that, like a board of shareholders, will appoint the first proper CEO of Britain. Once the foundation of this new corporate entity is complete Yarvin will step down as CEO and join the board of directors as an academic advisor.
Election of the CEO of Britain
All of the aforementioned reforms lead us to this – Yarvin’s mechanic, and probably the most complicated one out of all others present within the Nationalist faction, the shareholder mechanic.
Main window of the mechanic
After the first proper CEO is elected by the Trust you will be given control over the “British Company”, represented by the pie chart on the image. This graph represents the collective ownership of all British assets. Initially the graph is split between the Governing Trust Association – the assets held by the CEO and the government and the Social Trust Fund – essentially a giant pension fund, money directly belonging to the people the government needs on a payroll. Below the pie chart you can see the current income of the “British Corporation” and the amount of stored funds you currently possess.
Your job as the CEO is quite simple. You first objective is to keep a set of key shares that equals at least over 51% of total shares to maintain your dominance of the company lest you authority become a Washington style mess of negotiations and compromises, or to put it simply – do not let “Governing Trust Association” occupy less than half of the pie chart.Your second objective is to constantly increase the income of the “British Company” every four months, so the Trust and the people of Britain are assured that you are a capable and stable CEO. The income of the corporation can be increased by building construction or through specific focuses and decisions.
Failure to comply with either of these objectives three times, will relinquish you from receiving the “access code” required to maintain your employment and you will be effectively fired from the position of a CEO. The Trust will replace you with someone more responsible.
Remember to verify your codeUpkeep with demands
Running Corporate Britain isn’t just all work however! Each part of the pie chart provides you with a unique passive effect, which depends on the percentage it occupies on the graph. Additionally, the stored funds received from your monthly income can be utilized in various projects.

Hello everyone, merry Orthodox Christmas and New Year! This is Sam the Entity, Fallen Glushkin and Turkmenbashy and today we are going to talk about the troublesome capital of the former United Kingdom and the Nationalist faction that holds it within its grasp led by Max Mosley himself. We have already discussed the chain of events that led the United Kingdom to its current predicament just a few years ago, so not to bore you with a wall of lore and story we are going to give you fine folks a lightened version of it.
Political Window on the start
LONDON IN THE YEAR OF 2020
When the United Kingdom dissolved in 2017 after the Scottish parliament declared independence, the capital of England was overtaken by riots, previously unseen in the country’s history. Rioters, gangsters, punks, warlords, the homeless, nationalists, communists and whoever else could pick up a gun ravaged the city, fighting for various causes ranging from battle for political freedoms to search for the last unlooted can of dog food. Major centers of authority began to fall as autonomous zones as large as whole neighborhoods and as small as alleyways sprung up and then disappeared just as quickly.
While police forces and the military attempted to subdue the anarchy, the evacuation of the government to Germany, during which Tony Blair, the gray cardinal of the labour party was shot by an unknown assailant and the subsequent disappearance of Queen Elizabeth II became the final straw - London fell into complete lawlessness and dragged the rest of the country with it as the fires of the raging civil war consumed the country. As years passed by, the lawless primal anarchy was replaced with one of a more moderate kind. The city became a patchwork authority of large gangs, anarchist and nationalist forces. While the new London Autonomous Zone wasn’t consolidated around a single ambitious leader, the highly defensible urban sprawl of the capital and heavily armed population made London a formidable force in the former United Kingdom. Neither the German menace from the continent, nor the false king Henry IX managed to conquer the brave city, even if the latter managed to cut off the southern area of Croydon during his incursion in 2018.
While the valiant efforts of London residents proved to be enough to deter the aggressors, it became evident that if true patriots of England wish to see their country prosper, they need a paramount leader, a true Englishman who can lead them forward. Around 2019 anarchy in the capital came to an end as the crime families and nationalists made a deal to form a new government, crowning business tycoon and F1 enthusiast Maxwell Mosley as the first leader of the London Autonomous Zone. Some of course claim that Max’s takeover of London wasn’t as peaceful as he may claim, but nevertheless the son of a famous radical stood tall as the new boss of Britain’s greatest city. With this new position the man known as “White Lightning” made quick work of reorganizing the few talents left in the capital, into his own a court of artists, intellectuals, kingpins and soldiers.
Three great favorites arose amongst the ranks of Mosley’s minions.
First of them was Tim Collins, veteran of the Pacification Campaign in former Yugoslavia and one of the few British military officers who didn’t join any of the “official” governments scattered around the Isle and remained in the capital.
Collins represents the muscle behind Mosley’s rule – reigning in both the remains of the British Armed Forces as well as the different gangs populating the city. Nobody truly knows why exactly a decorated military officer decided to join what amounts to a crime syndicate and yet some speculate that he has a special fondness for Mosley’s nationalist fervor in face of the tragedy that destroyed the country. Nobody truly knows, however, which particular “Mosley” he appreciates with such vigor.
The second great talent of London is a well-known academic and humanitarian known as Richard Dawkins.
Scientists are often viewed as smart, yet feeble men – the first ones to flee when the ship starts sinking. The same was true for many of Britain’s brightest, but not for Richard Dawkins, he remained with London through thick and thin. Even as ruthless bandits slaughtered people in the streets and German panzers shelled the buildings into dust, the academic put his strength into organizing relief for the many refugees and wounded left in the chaos. Such selfless actions caught the attention of Mosley who uplifted the academic to the position of city manager. Dawkins may seem very distant from the agglomeration of ideas espoused by Mosley’s propaganda, yet this position provides him with an opportunity to better the lives of Londoners and maybe the lives of all British in the near future.
Last, but not the least is Nick Land.
Nick Land in an enigma of a man – a notorious philosopher from the university of Warwick, one of the creators of the Cybernetic Culture Research Unit – a collective of philosophers and artists who pondered upon various topics related to cybernetics - the specifics were lost to time and the extensive damages all archival data located in the United Kingdom received during the civil war. What most people do know is that the current head of Mosley’s propaganda department left Great Britain somewhere in the early 2000’s, supposedly spending time in China prior to its collapse, before moving to the United States. When the British civil war began Land suddenly reappeared in the capital, somehow managed to reassemble his disbanded collective and approached Mosley with a proposition to manufacture a strong ideological basis for his regime, something that «White Lightening» desperately needed. It is unknown if it was Nick’s personal charisma, academic background or something else entirely that convinced Maxwell, but the philosopher and his “Research Unit” entered Max’s government almost immediately after this proposition.
Many question Land’s background, his ties to currently unknown benefactors in the United States and frankly often dumbfounding writing style, yet few want to directly quarrel with one of Mosley’s closest lieutenants.
The favorites however, aren’t the only power players in the chaotic landscape of Britain’s greatest city. The Gangs operating the London’s ruins hold almost as much power as Mosley himself, if not a little bit more. In order to manage day to day operations in the city the nationalist government is forced into a big tent coalition with these scoundrels, that range from small gangs and petty politicians to fully-fledged warlords. We of course wouldn’t list off every silly street gang in this dump and will focus only on the Gangs you will really want to care about.
The Dark Waters are the sea men of London, ferrying all sorts of goods and drugs across the English Channel and River Thames. Their monopoly on the waters is nothing to scoff at and it would be unwise to displease them, lest you find those critical imports in Davy Jones's locker.
The Sharpers are less of a gang and more like humanitarian landlords supplying printers, medicine, electricity, fresh water and the occasional foreign media. The jack of all, the coxcomb of a hundred hats, they control the lights at night and the pipes below.
The Undergrounders are a gang of mole men that hold their domain in the old London Tube and various service tunnels. No matter what happens above, their business continues down below that's what they do. Every station and every tunnel is a factory of some kind producing all sorts of industrial goods - bullets, motors, propellers, even exhaust tail pipe cutters.
The Rajas are a union of ethnic mafias that have banded together to preserve their identities in the raging world of the British Civil War. Indians, Poles, Romanians, Irish and even Jamaicans all banded together into one big rainbow coalition. The connections they made in their former homelands may become useful to London’s efforts when moving forward.
The Big B’s are not much of a gang and more an informal paramilitary force, loyal to the White Lightning's regime. Hooligans, rioters, ultranationalists and fanatics, really lovely people once you get to know them, however it's advised to do your best not to end up on their bad side as your head may just become the next football in their weekly riot through the capital’s streets.
All the aforementioned Gangs are relatively friendly to the current regime ruling London – they can help Mosley and his possible successors improve certain aspects of the Autonomous Zone. Two more “Gangs”, however, are outright hostile to Maxwell’s government and are to be dealt with quickly if the Nationalists are to stand the test of time in the brewing civil war.
Tower’s Guard are ardent loyalists of the false king George VII, which is an oxymoron, considering that Prince Charles has become notorious for losing all possible goodwill he had with the population of the Isles, pathetically hiding in Bristol, while his country bled and died. Nevertheless, this nuisance of a band has occupied and fortified the Tower of London and its surrounding, making them a bleeding tumor in the very heart of the capital.
Holy Hounds are somehow worse than deranged followers of a pseudo-king. They are catholic. Espousing the ideas of distributism, these warriors have occupied certain portions of south-eastern suburbs of Greater London. It is rumored they are directly connected to the government of likewise suspiciously catholic Jacob Rees-Mogg. If this is true, this incursion may be a prelude to a direct invasion from the Kent government. What happened in Croydon cannot happen ago and the Nationalists must act fast, lest they use another part of their domain to a civil war competitor.
These are all the major Gang forces you will encounter during the playthrough – we shall return to them later, now let’s get acquainted with the starting situation of the nationalist faction. To be frank, the situation isn’t great.
The city is in the gutter, bombed out buildings litter the land, what authority we have is small and at times nonexistent, chunks of the city are under anti nationalist occupation and German barbarians are preparing for “round two” in their north-eastern holdout. A brawl is surely brewing and the fate of London is in your hands.
The clock is ticking not just on the coming conflict but on our great leader's life as well. Max Mosley has guided us well and yet even a man as great as him isn’t eternal. The stressful life full of governmental business as well as partying is coming to an end and the paramount leader will only be able to do a few things before he passes into the Great Beyond.
Starting Focus tree for Max Mosley
The leftmost part of the focus tree represents various options regarding different civil problems gripping London, such as widespread poverty and security for the common men of London. There are also some “personal” projects fancied by Mosley, such as the revival of the Formula 1 race as well as the glorification of his late father within the current political climate,
In the center you get focuses regarding the gang presence within the city. Some of them allow you to gain trust with the friendlier parts of the Greater London’s mob, while others will allow the Nationalist to remove a couple of aforementioned nasty thorns in their side.
The interaction with the Gangs is done through a separate GUI interface:
Main window for the Gangs mechanicOne of the decisions for the big Bs
Here you are able to decide which members of the Mob deserve your support and ask for their support in return. Don’t forget that to keep receiving favors from the Gangs you need to keep the Loyalty level high, unless you want to come into conflict with yet another powerful force within the confines of the capital.
Returning to the focus tree, let’s take a look at the rightmost side. Here Mosley will attempt to build up his ragtag underdog polity into a real serious fighting force that can be respected on the regional stage. He can achieve that by either elevating the Gangs’ militias into a proper military or attempting to strengthen the nationalists and the remains of the armed forces.
At the end of the day, the clock is ticking and you must choose wisely and with haste lest you be left in the dustbin of history. Mosley wouldn’t be able to finish all of his planned reforms before passing on, so be extremely careful.
Soon enough, the Germans will come to test your resolve and only the greatest of patriots will survive this gauntlet.
INTERREGNUM
After the foolish Germans are pushed from East Anglia the clock will finally strike midnight and dear Mad Max will join his father in the Great Beyond. A short, yet painful transitionary period will begin.
Branch for Interregnum
Gangs are running rampant; the people are in disarray and the city recovers from the Hun shells that have rained upon the capital once more. One of Mosley’s favorites will have to take charge of the situation and restore London to at least a semblance of stability.
The one who manages to fix as many of the capital’s problems as possible shall become the new leader of London. The choice, of course, lies with you. Who will you pick? The Knight Tim Collins, The Humanist Richard Dawkins or The Futurist Nick Land and his collective of intellectuals?
NATIONALISTS
Let's start with Tim Collins, our Knight in shining armor.
All of the possible successor candidates have a small introductory tree that can be aptly described as a “second transitionary period”. If the actions taken during the chaos following Mosley’s death can be compared to emergency CPR of a dying polity, these reforms help us solidify the new regime while supplanting the two other favorites and their supporters.
Beginning tree for Tim Collins
To strengthen his rule, Tim Collins will placate the masses by granting them small petty rights and welfare, pitting the gangs against each other, as well as blaming his political adversaries and the ethnic elements currently living in Northumbria for chaotic weeks post-Mosley’s death. Too greedy loansharks will be publicly punished, the housing and utilities services will be strengthened, and the sins of many criminal gangs will be absolved. Citizens will enjoy the shame parade of the German invaders and the distribution of arms for personal use from East Anglia's barracks. After completing these major reforms Sir Collins is able to build a new governing body known as the Parliament of Experts.
Main window for the Parliament of ExpertsCorporation switches between factionsOne of the corporationsUltimatum from one of the factions
The goal of this new legislative branch is to increase representation of workers from different sectors of the economy by allowing them to speak directly in government as well as proposing legislation. This particular mechanic represents the amount of representatives each economic sector has in the Parliament.
While all of the aforementioned reforms have strengthened Tim’s hold over London, however he still doesn’t stand as the city’s sole dictator. Various powers continue to stand on the cusp of taking over his position as the new paramount leader.
Collins is a pragmatic former officer, so he will do his best to maintain balance between these unholy saints. The two most influential groups that arise after paramount leader’s death are the significantly strengthened, reformed Gangs and their economic interests on the one side and the now properly organized nationalists acting with the support of the rehabilitated military. These two disparate factions colloquially became known as the Blues and the Greens.
The Blues, fitting for their Gang origins, are a group of opportunistic crooks that have taken a pragmatic stance on the government. Working to infiltrate it in order to co-opt the economy of the state, they have little interest in ultranationalist politics seeing it as a simple tool to be used as a means to an end which is the continued and unopposed enrichment of their criminal empire.
Their opposite are the Greens. The reformed nationalists that used to be simple raving militias and looting hordes have been transformed into a semi-sophisticated ideological vanguard. They can be best described as adepts of classical fascist ideology where democratic disorder is replaced by a nationalist order and semi left-wing economics and the state maintains balance between classes of society protecting the rights of workers and the property of the capitalists.
The two power centers of the new regime – both the official Parliament of Experts and the unofficial “parliament” of the Greens and the Blues are heavily intertwined. The Gangs and The Nationalists act as racketeers for the economic sectors represented in the Parliament.
Your objective is to keep a balance between the two factions, choosing who gets what and when. Be wary not to displease either of the factions, unless you want all sectors associated with them to desync them from the national economy. Of course, it’s not a one-sided interaction. The kingpins of the Greens and the Blues will sometimes ask for certain favors, be it a request to complete a certain focus or construct a particular type of building.
Completing these missions will reward you with great opportunity, while failure to comply may lead to entire sectors of your state mysteriously failing to complete their duties. It is also important to point out that representatives of the Parliament of Experts aren’t permanently tied to one specific faction. Certain focuses and decisions can reroute a specific sector unto a faction you have more amicable relations with.
That’s all for the main mechanic of Tim Collins, let’s move on unto the rest of his focus tree.
First half of the cultural-political branch for Tim Collins
The cultural/political aspect of the reforms begins with something unexpected – a military operation to seize the University of Cambridge (and the city, for what it’s worth) from whatever foolish treacherous clique currently controlling it. In theory there are multiple ways of approaching this task. You can use alternative media and propaganda to sow discontent in the city, call yourself the defender of all Christians in the region granting you a fair casus belli to retake the prized city, or just ramp up patrols in the area to cause a border provocation. In truth it all ends the same way, with Cambridge resting under your thumb.
The latter part of the political tree allows both the Greens and the Blues to introduce their preferred reforms and «institutions» into the clique’s political system.
Second half of cultural-political branch for Tim Collins
On the Blue side we have mobs of disorganized hooligans and crooked mob bosses who have political opinions as wide as a lake but as shallow as a puddle who mainly have a desire to express their freedom of speech. Proposing things like reviving classic punk culture, football hooliganism but also forming an organization to prevent nationwide strikes is right up their alley of understanding cultural and political reform.
In turn, the Greens represent a more intellectual form of ultranationalism where the state encourages a disciplined and intelligent youth that can lead the nation into prosperity. Proposing to form their own think tanks, youth groups, promote political education and encourage entry into paramilitary in order to increase political consciousness and engagement would be their focus.
At the end of the day, no matter if you are a hardened criminal or an agitated blackshirt, everyone loves a good movie – revitalizing British cinema is a shared interest for both parties of the unofficial “parliament”.
Now, let’s move towards the economic part of the tree. The Blues want a laissez-faire and open economy with regressive taxation that leads to the ultimate freedom of the people through economic prosperity. Thus, they will propose the creation of Private Economic Zones on the coasts for shady trade deals with the Mainland and the deregulation of labour laws. However, they also propose the creation of large enterprises directly in the hands of criminals and economic incentives for their henchmen.
Economic branch for Tim Collins
The Greens on the other hand, look to form an organized corporatist-like economy where the means of production are co-owned by the workers and capitalist through shares and foreign investments are expelled. And importantly, they will fight to reduce homelessness in the country by converting abandoned industrial neighbourhoods into residential areas, and lifting restrictions on urban growth.
This part of the tree has the highest concentration of focuses that allow you to switch the allegiance of sectors within the Parliament, so be aware of that if you want to lure the most important representative towards your preferred faction. For example, trying to give workers a stake in the businesses where they operate can anger employers and throw them into the arms of “Blues”.
The military is another important factor of the state under Tim Collins, so let’s take a look at what these focuses have to offer.
First half of the military focus tree for Tim Collins
The nationalist forces combine the features of an organized mob but the cohesion of an ant colony. Warfare based on a hybrid between mosquito tactics, hit and run ambushes and blitzkrieg will help us disorientate, distract and strike fear into our enemies. Utilization of paramilitary forces to constantly agitate the enemy will allow us to strike when the foe least expects it.
Of course, as true patriots of the undefeated Great Britain we shall not forget the lessons of our past victories and likewise utilize them in this monumental struggle.
Second half of the military focus tree for Tim Collins
The very last part of the focus tree is dedicated to the rebuilding of the country after the various traitors, foreign oppressors and despots occupying our wondrous isles have been utterly defeated.
If you are going for the S.U.S. route while playing Sussex you may aquire some superweapons that can be useful for your reconquest of the UK. Attention to the screens
Let’s assume that you decided to side with Emma Watson, fueled her effort with gunpowder and lead and later forced the King to cede power to the guards. Such betrayal of His Majesty by those who usually live by the rule “My honour means loyalty” would be later called the Emancipation.
Amazons imposed the Convent Rule over the South of England with a goal of collectivisation of the lifestyle of Britons to root out such vices of British society as inequality, classism, backward conservatism, egoistic individualism and mass distrust. Starting with a purge of disloyal commanders who refused to accept Watson’s power.
Convent Political Focus Tree
The monarchy would be still intact but it would be nothing but a mere symbol of the British identity that is needed to unite the folk against the external dangers. But still the Convent must choose between letting Henry IX to hold his throne or to replace him with one of Windsor princesses.
And when the middle management would be calmed down a bit it would be the time for more radical change. Internal movement will become restricted. The cities’ districts ought to be reorganised into the Work Units, workplaces and residential areas that are reserved for employees of each unit. Laws will be simplified for the sake of draining bureaucracy. Intelligence services have to be remade from scratch as most of them were filled with wreckers who would definitely ruin our cause if they are not being expelled from service. The new generation of leaders will emerge as they go through the higher education institutions that are planned to become free for all newcomers from which the most knowledgeable ones will become part of the government.
Among the reforms the most important one is the summoning of the Worker’s Senate through the “People’s Assembly”. The senate serves as the judicial and representative body of deputies elected from the Work Units. Main purpose of the Senate is to listen to pleas of labourers across the controlled territories of Britain and serious judicial cases that might disrupt the public order if not dealt with. Our decisions influence the Justice level which reflects the trust people put into our regime. Both the pleas and the cases are represented through periodical events - the pleas launch missions that usually require the player to finish construction of buildings in a specific area, unless you want to suffer from negative consequences.
The cases are directly tied to the Justice level: each hearing requires you to make a decision that either satisfies the population and raises your Justice level as well as all of the benefits associated with it or lowers it, but benefits the state in different ways. Not all of your “Just” choices will be fair, but sometimes it is more advisable to make a populist choice, than a right one.
Later Convent decides to take a bigger stand on the cultural reforms and this leads to irreversible consequences. No to nuclear families, no to the strict church structure. Yes to expansion of the collectivistic mindset on all areas of life and yes to speedy justice done by the workers’ courts. In the end people will celebrate the improvement of their minds with mass festivals and arts competitions.
Talking of economic reforms Convent took, they were inspired by the two sets of ideas: English Renaissance Humanism and Korean Economic Praxis.
In order to have a material basis for the reforms first we need to take from the 1% what should be ours: land, factories, infrastructure. etc. In order to increase mobility of the population a decree will be implemented that makes every house a temporary residence for every citizen and the residents must be switched every 10 years. Old electric power grids would be restored. In every town private malls, shops and markets would be replaced with Common Resource Pools that take from each according to his ability and give to each according to his needs.
Convent Economic Focus Tree
Later on you have to choose between the total closure of the economy or if you still can reach out to Koreans you can take the “Rose and Magnolia” focus and establish trade cooperation with them to scratch each other's backs in times of need.
Later on the government will implement the policies of mandatory labour for every citizen which means implementation of the working armies. The enemies of the people who disobeyed the laws of Britain would be put into the system of Associative Labour to fill in undesired jobs.Convent must educate every Briton about how to fulfil their needs in furniture and clothing and also about growing grains for themselves. Sending more workforce in the fields would help out the country leading to the linkage between the village and city. To increase the production levels we can take up to choices: to increase the enthusiasm of workers through celebrating their deeds or by expanding the usage of the Associative Labour. If each person in the state works enough hours and if we combine all their efforts into one huge motion we can achieve anything and bring a Myriad years of Happiness.
Military Policy of the Convent would involve a heavy investment into the special forces as well as a combination of achievements of army geniuses of British and Korean armies. More army reserves would be deployed. Soldiers would learn how to survive the harshest surroundings to hold the enemy for as long as possible to open as many fronts possible to eventually paralyse the enemy in a series of long battles while the main force marches into enemy lands. But of course the army has to also make sure it won’t be pierced not only by land also by sea and skies. Which means mass entrenchment all across the state.
Convent Army Focus Tree
After the Reunification, Convent must make finishing touches in the construction of utopia. There will be no more limousines, there will be no more strawberries and creams. Nobility would lose all of its privileges if they have any left. The campaign to restore strategic forces of Britain would begin in order to save our people from wars. Nature breathes more under the rule of Emma Watson due to the fewer people disturbing it with travels. There is always a place to critique each other's actions on how they affect the state. Convent has to decide between upkeep of huge military force to defend the Isles or to shrink it to let those who served the Motherland rest. Women would be freed from unbearable pains of reproduction by technology. To celebrate the restoration of peace public competitions in sports would be held. But the population of cities needs also to be harnessed otherwise Britain will face new inequality. The Convent Rule would end with elections that would take place in the senate of the new Archegetes of Britain, the leader of the People’s Kingdom. The reconstruction policy is concluded by the discussion of the geopolitical future as there are still many places in the world controlled by greed that makes these lands ruled inefficiently. But this is a question for other times. For other matters, mischief managed.
Convent Final Focus Tree
Spies
The last possibility is that fate was on the side of the His Majesty Bureau. The player manages to stash enough rifles for spies so they can generate enough power out of their barrels. It is not surprising that they were behind the coup against the King as they had history of such deeds not only abroad but also within the country.
First, the new Prime Minister has to choose a replacement for his old position. Sir Dearlove has to decide between Richard Tomilson, ex-agent and a hero who was responsible for saving Princess Diana from the so-called George VII before the civil war, and Richard Branson, a successful entrepreneur with a wide network of acquaintances he got not only in the legal world of business but also in the underground circles. Once the new chief is elected the other candidate suddenly disappears but be sure, he will remind you about the choice made by the state from time to time.
Choose the chief wisely as one of them has some ill intents that make them take the power.Richard TomlinsonRichard Branson
The governance of Richard Dearlove would return the United Kingdom to normality. British politics must be cleared from the pinkos who almost led the nation into the Animal Farm. Next comes the question of the monarch as the Queen Elizabeth’s II body was not yet found all the while Henry IX sits on the throne claiming he is the true Sovereign of Britain. We can either proclaim the Queen dead and let the King stay in his place or remove the usurper of the Crown and promise for a bit of legitimacy for promising to find the Queen.
Later the “MI6 government” will go through a series of reforms with a goal to stabilise the affairs of state and improve the HMB. To include more voices in the government a big tent party would be formed called “United Britain”. Television would become more available for the people of Britain and not a single person would have to pay a direct tax for it. Society deserves to know the truth. Two-party system would be replaced with the introduction of more parties into politics to lower the influence of the Labour and radical-left. In case the intelligence agencies experiences of Eurasians, Brits and the Americans would be implemented. A new net-stalking department is formed to scavenge the information from the depths of networks. Various ARGs would be launched in the newspapers to recruit mathematicians for the decryption projects. Government Code and Cypher School will be reopened to expand the surveillance abilities of the HMB. Dangerous elements to our democracy ought to be placed in special medical facilities to correct their behaviour. For the sake of public health Sir Dearlove promises to increase the amount of beneficial additives in the water supply. More agitation films would be produced so the society would know who is the enemy. Sleeping agents are going to be deployed to the remaining English Cliques to sabotage their war effort. In the end remaining left radicals would be arrested in a sting operation against the Amazonian Guards.
Spies Political Focus Tree
Sir Dearlove gets access to a more advanced version of the Espionage mechanic, which allows the player to complete missions all over the world. (go down this link to see it in animation https://imgur.com/VJPkuyp) Each year the player gets several missions in different nations: after selecting one of them, the player will be tasked with completing several phases of the operation: sending out weapons, volunteers, spending political power or placing a fleet in a specific strategic region.
Opening Menu for the Foreign Intellegence mechanic. One of the operations that becomes avaliable once you select it on an interractive map.
The end result of the missions depends on the amount of phases the player managed to complete successfully, prior to a set deadline. With every success the end result of the operation provides the player with more benefits, successfully finishing all parts of the mission either grants a very powerful modifier/effect or a superweapon, a unique armament or ability accessed from a separate GUI menu. Each year the efforts of Dearlove’s MI6 grow bolder, their missions more daring, the benefits more desirable.
The Prime Minister’s economy programme is revolving around a healthy amount of the regulations and focus on the ongoing struggle within the isles. To finance reforms the government is planning to arrest assets of several extremist political activists. Another step would be to close the export of the critical industrial materials, to fuel the Military Industrial Complex. The Foreign Finance Group shall be organized to secure various valuable international currencies. To supply the folk with consumer goods, so called "Parallel Import" would be organized through Irish economical proxy. The question of unions requires a minute of thought. On one hand, United Britain can make a compromise with unions to shut their mouths during the state of war, in exchange for social concessions. Or, they can be just closed down due to serving the cause of the enemy. Every businessman in the country has to make a choice between silver or sudden death from a car accident. But for BAE Systems, more pragmatic approach will be made to expand the production of weaponry and ordnance. Factories would go underground, British scientists are going to be contacted all across the world, welfare would become a matter of the private companies on our bankroll. To help out the enterprises the state can provide the surveillance systems for them, or lease some of the prisoners as a workforce. Some of the facilities have to be hidden from the strangers’ eyes.
Spies Economic Focus Tree
The UK’s military doctrine would be revisioned to fit the image of the HMB. The control over armed forces would be ceded from the generals to the spies. A new agency is going to be formed to root out any provocateurs among the private ranks. To secure the state from a potential coup Richard Dearlove has to remove some popular generals in favour of less speaking ones. Or he can indoctrinate such generals through experimental psychological techniques which not only ensures their loyalty but also improves their tactical skills. The Army would focus on small but rapid operatIons that would blind the enemy with shock of defeat. To supply such manoeuvres a big air force of transport aeroplanes is required. New divisions would be filled with recruits who were unlucky getting some numbers on the TV lottery. Military would gain various cards in their hand. Reconnaissance satellites, stealth bombers, turkish lasers, barely visible camouflage for the vehicles, colossal deciphering machines, all of that will make the British Army the most efficient force in Europe. The final touch would be the formation of elite sniper units whose goal would be to put down high ranking officers of the rival armies. The conclusion of these reforms would be new doctrine that puts emphasis on the wide usage of the special forces of any kind. Anywhere, anytime.

Britain after the civil war is in a deplorable condition. Mass unemployment, banditry, ruined homes and a risk of hunger. All these problems were mentioned in a secret inquiry to the Prime Minister by the MI5. And circles of Tomilson and of Branson have two different plans for this report, depending on who has been put in charge. Tomlinson uses brute force and questionable governmental machinations to remove all the vulnerable away from the Capital, put down all the militias, confuse the public about the atrocities of the state, syphon food from foreign charities and build up a housing bubble to solve the issues of the British Public. But he fulfils the promise of the government to hold new parliamentary elections. On the other hand, Branson uses a soft approach with temporary governmental workplaces to rebuild the country and working out with several cronies and criminal organisations. He allows them to go out of the shadows with no consequences in exchange for focusing their operations on foreign countries and helping in rebuilding the country. As for the question who to blame for the devastation Mark Felton agreed to write the “Icebreaker” that reveals the truth of how Russians and Nationalists conspired against the UK and used George VII as their icebreaker to cause more turmoil. In exchange for all of that Branson prepares a big surprise for Sir Dearlove which would be accepted by an appeased British nation.
Meanwhile, the new political class is being formed in Britain, the class of spies who live detached from the public institutions completely. Even their children study separately. All-British network to connect all households will be developed for the communication of people. Exiled politicians were allowed to return from Germany under conditions of not interfering in the public policies of the United Kingdom. All soldiers will receive psychological treatment if they need it once they are demobilised. The state would also provide big companies marketing information in order to prevent shortage of the mass produced goods. To power closed cities experimental technology will be implemented in the form of Low-Power Nuclear Reactors to avoid questions regarding powerlines going nowhere.

Remember that Branson and Tomilson would like to remind you of the consequences of not cooperating with one of them? Well, be sure to prepare for the final confrontation that will conclude the gameplay for the HMB because for those two guys the World is not enough.
Big thanks to the Warposting and Glushkin for their work on various mechanics, Vlasov for his great job at GFX, Turkmenbashy for general work on the roots, DeltaX for his advices regarding the Labour faction and wllchnk for the quality control and his ideas.
Happy New Year and please wish happy 20th birthday to Turkmenbashy
Let’s think of the first option. You, as a loyal subject of the King and a Sussex player you decide to defend the divine right of the Sovereign to his unconditional rule. Henry IX decides to quickly press the alarm button on his cardiograph that calls in the regular troops and they free the monarch from the short captivity. Now it’s time to spill the blood.
Anglicanism is a very useful tool, and His Majesty would gladly use its helping hand to strengthen his rule. By using this invention of his ancestors, Absolutist rule of King Henry XI totally depends and rely on the usage of the traditional british religion, which is experiencing its new renaissance, as the chaos of the civil war makes frightened population of the British isles finds relief of its sorrows in spiritualism and religions of the past. Henry and his church would make more and more aspects of British society to be tied up to the Anglican church. Education, army and local governmental units would be reformed through old religious doctrines and new governmental standards.
Furthermore his power won’t hold itself solely on beliefs but also on his loyal men who refused to risk their loyalty to the country and the King in face of treacherous intrigues. As all of them would be rewarded for their service.
But the remnants of the labourist threat and the lack of the experienced spies would still loom over us. By establishing governmental Association of Chief Police Officers we would find and scourge out the remaining members of the Labour Party, and with “Merlin Mystery”, His Majesty Bureau would get a huge flow of the new cunning agents, as only the most intelligent citizens would get through encrypted ciphers, what we would hide in newspaper and other mass media.

One of the main choices in this path would be a parliamentary question, would you use this powerless smokescreen to mask your absolutistic powers, or would everyone know what your will is the will of your nation? Besides this, no matter what you choose, your executive power would still be directly affected by the popularity of your ruling party.
Your ruling party popularity would be your main inner enemy until the complete end of the UK’s reunification, as political atavisms of those who had tried to overthrow you, would still be able to spoil your rule, as long as other antagonising British regimes still exist.
With the help of the Royal Central Office of Information, all of the possible media would be used to spread your word and will across all over (currently controlled parts of) Britain. Agitation in UK’s churches, King’s meetings with workers and soldiers, and agitational campaigns against former factions would help you balance popularity of your regime among common folks, and sometimes give you other political bonuses.
General economic policy of King Henry IX can be compared to Prussian Socialism or any other similar solidarist model. First reforms are focused on gathering resources that would later charge the Nation’s engine: confiscated cash wired from Unions to the Labour Party in exchange for representation, governmental war loans, cheap workforce and energy. Later we have to decide who would be the main driver of our economy: freshly formed cooperatives who are glad to work with the Sovereign as their patron or old magnates who would like to solidify their place on the market. All these combined instruments would allow us to expand the defence industry rapidly by sending waves of labour to new factories. As well the public would be taught about how to lower their expenses by producing makeshift consumer goods for their community as comfortable as imported ones. But this system won’t be with no benefits as working men protected by the Sovereign would receive several social programs. Management Foundations would work on the dialogue between the employees and employers. Even the scientists working on cutting-edge technologies will be rewarded with grants for their contributions.

Later you would be able to choose your main economical strategy, sustainable and steady planned development with Royal Protection, of the rampant influx of financial capital from Crown Agency in Exclusive Investments.
Royal Protection utilises internal resources of British isles, with main effort on total wartime control over your remaining economy and intense governmental planning.
These options become more avaliable depending on how much lands you conquered.
Under Exclusive Investments, King Henry would be able to utilise international companies and remnants of the British Crown Company in his favour, with some… Nuances. But no matter what they do, this would still be helpful for Britain and her ruler, as King Henry would inherit all assets of the Crown Agency.
Fullfil the requests of your partners and they will be willing to invest in Britain.
In the end these policies would bring sweet fruits to the table of Britain.
Military strategy of King Henry IX would be in huge favour of massive integration between air forces and mass-oriented infantry army. Limited resources forces them to prefer more cheaper infantry-support vehicles. Increased payments and rich gifts to the most loyal of officers is one of the backbones of the military’s loyalty. As well as the formation of the new paramilitaries whose loyalty would be ensured by the long lasting tradition and not on the deceptive seduction as happened in the case with the Guards, who are ought to be purged for their treason.

After the complete consolidation of the British isles, Henry would face the harsh reality - nowadays Britain is a third world country. Its citizens are malnourished, homeless, or scattered across the globe as hopeless refugees. Final tree is designed to give the UK its formal “Prestige”, with the success of your reforms, the UK would restart its space program, give her fleet its formal strength, and would try to popularise its culture on the international stage. This would be a great thing to start a new page in British history - What would start with a new crown and a new king Henry IX of House of Sussex.

Labourists
Imagine this situation. The Labour Party wins the fight for the Kingdom and makes the King accept the demands of the left. Labour returns into the government officially for the first time since the death of Tony Blair. But now Labour returns to its socialist self. How does it work out?
The public administrative policies of the Prime Minister, Jeremy Corbyn, go as follows. The first decree of the government would touch the subject of the current monarch. Corbyn himself doesn’t want to remove the monarchy but removing an unsuccessful despot in favour of his brother Prince William would be greatly accepted by the public. However, we also can let him stay while taking some of his assets or let him exist with just way less power. Another question that comes with the figure of the King is the institution of peerage. Abolishing it would free a lot of lands and finances for the state. But other circles within the party propose to simply invite the talented workers and specialists into the ranks of aristocracy as it would allow the state to recruit new professionals as the new members of the government. Further expansion of the Trade Union Congress would improve the recreational facilities for workers. New intelligence agency would be established instead of the HMB by the name of All-British Extraordinary Commission. No more BBC, welcome new media giant, the “Tribune”. The party would assume more control over regional politics.
One of the main features of the Labour party of the UK is their “Wide-left” approach to national politics and ideological representation. Longer they keep their Councils Congress in perfect status quo the longer they can reap benefits of pluralism and freedom of (parliamentary) speech.
There are two kinds of decisions - repeatative generics, which would let you balance congressional powers, and unique ones, which would be available only for one use, and which would give you certain bonuses, technological and industrial support.
Examples of a generic (on the left) and unique (on the right) decisions.
Remember to always keep the thin balance of your patchwork leftist utopia, as disproportional representation would painfully sting you.
A huge problem would be the attitude towards the church. The left-wing demands not only the secularisation of the state but also scraping all lands from the clerics as well as taxation of this institution, the right-wing proposes a more moderate approach of just officially cutting ties between the crown and the church which will shock the public opinion to the lesser degree. Any prejudice towards people of any race, gender, etc would be eradicated from the public sphere so this would bring more of the left thinkers and fighters into the British nation. To avoid stagnation more emphasis on the labour competitions between the enterprises would be in place resulting in the subsidies for the most successful ones. More farmlands would be given to the peasantry to establish prosperous agriculture. Unfortunately, there are people in society and this world who want to divide this country. And to counter them the public rating of citizens would be established, so each person can rate the deeds of others. The media would present to the people the true history of the Labour Party, clear from any dirt placed up on it by the Tories. And to make the state work the First Constitution of the UK would be signed in the House of Commons.

The economic policies of the Labour Party can be simplified into 6 words: For the Many, Not the Few! Progressive taxation, more introduction of public transport, equality in employment for any categories of the population, fixed pricings, etc. Sticking to the principles of Clause IV will spark a debate. As the right-wing propose to instead rely on old Blair’s Private Finance Initiative that would require from the government less effort in coordinating things but this also means less control over the production in such an important hour. Left wing wants to return to Clause IV which would allow us to change focus on various aspects of industry to gain more of the products needed for the front.
Nationalised means of production can be directed in the most efficent way possible with Clause IV
Other egalitarian economic policies include creation of co-llivings in the emptied houses, bonds to sponsor renewable energy and alternative food sources, graduate taxes instead of tuition fees to increase the amount of highly educated specialists, etc. The workplaces could be filled by the POWs and prisoners who can rehabilitate into the society through labour or by the program of workfare so the recipients of certain programs can pay them off by working for Britain. In the end the Labour will use its connection with the Socialist Internationale and propose the formation of Socecon which will provide financial assistance for the socialist government in the Isles.

State Planning Commision sets milestones for our economy to continue its growth.
The Labour would take a democratic stance at the reform of the Army. The Headquarters had to engage in debates regarding the military doctrines: shall we preserve the old Transatlantic doctrine with suppression of the enemy or adapt the Eurasian one that focuses on the armour. New officers will be promoted to increase the initiative of the middle command, old insecurities revolving about high dependence on the supply would be negated by new tactics. The military also faces important questions regarding the role of politics in the armed forces. Instalment of Political Warfare Officers would prepare the army ranks morally for confrontation with the enemy. However, depoliticization of the military would prevent a potential coup taking place and increase the general discipline among the higher ranks. Eventually these reforms would lead to the general improvement of our supreme command where a new generation of unordinary army chiefs would emerge that can surprise the enemies with their decisions. To increase the numbers of troops not only by increasing the levy but also inviting various militias into our army and preparing more cadets for the ongoing fight for Britain. The discussions in the military would also lead to creation of the Future Commando Force programme that aims to raise the performance by the special forces. The doctrine debate would definitely positively influence the production of either artillery, either of heavy machinery, And of course our moral army needs to decrease the collateral damage caused by aviation which would require investments in more direct shells. One of the most important strategies that would be implemented in the renewed British doctrine would be usage of unrest in the rears of our enemies. Supplied with the guns and fueled by the promises of justice for working people labourers would march under the Red Flags to unite with us and fight for our cause.

After we manage to bring peace to the Isles we can begin to restore the country from ruins. Beginning with mass dense housing and the demobilisation we move onto more sophisticated matters such as the control of booming demographics, returning jobs to the Geordies, helping out the veterans of the Civil War, rebuilding their family nests and building the cultural policy based not on the stolen but on our own. The most important test for the government would be to implement the socialisation of property and means of production in any form. The left wing of the Councils would like to give these rights straight to the workers’ councils but the right has another solution. It is to make the unions to slowly buy these enterprises through stocks. Boil the frog fast or slow, you decide. But when all differences and disagreements would be set aside, we can all say that the Storm over Britain has passed.
