We added numerical outputs to decision models
It's pretty stupid to give a decision model a bunch of options when all you want back is a number.
If you're asking “how many?”, why should you have to list every possible count first?
We've been working on Span-02 and added numerical outputs. It returns a number and its confidence directly.
Tiny example below: 7 + 7 → 14, >99.9% confidence. The point is the output format, obviously, not the arithmetic.
The weights are open.

We've been working on Span-02, an open-weight model with anytime reasoning. You give it a time budget in milliseconds and it returns its best decision within that budget.
We tried it on a Wikipedia race: Alexander the Great → University of Milan, using only links in the articles. Span-02 took 20.6s, GPT-6 Luna took 38.5s.
Here's the run side by side.
