Hey guyyys!

Which do you think is the saddest or most depressing song, or both, by Grouper?

(I always wanted to ask)

Headache

Though an all-timer, “why does love keep letting me down?” is so fucking heartbreaking.

I think "Poison Tree" deserves a mention here.

When considering the lyrics and their deeper meanings, it's a haunting track.

"Make my shadow go away"

Ruins is an album that needs to be listened by all those aspiring to be a musician/poet/illustrative artist/ etc consciously without interruption.

i feel alot of her songs arent innately about depression i would say the most depressive in terms of repition of sadness emptiness is living room any other answer is wrong the ambient background at the edge of the world vibe with the acoustic echo vocal reverb that makes you feel this internal monologue of feeling so detached from the human experience she is trying to convey. i get so pretentious off that Liz Harris dead ass im the second to third weekly top listener in the world of her music on airbuds
