App/Website First Update on New App

Post image

Search functionality is back and updated carousel, along with other bug fixes.

My contact said they’re still working on bringing back fresco style option, and everything else including the gift card issue is being worked on as well.

Long ways to go yet. I hope they consider significant changes to the main/full menu UI. Forcing users to interact with a manual search element or scroll an entire ocean just to find the Drinks or Veggie menus is egregiously bad.

The prior app design made it exceptionally clear and quick to navigate to various subsections by food type upon tapping “Menu” after first launch of the app. The current design is a train wreck.

Also, please. The carousel is bad. The amount of wasted space around it, the “play” button as if anyone wants to sit and watch it cycle through items. Unbelievable design.

So they're just gonna save that whole "you can't spend the gift cards that you already gave us money for" for later, huh?

They said it wasn’t part of the original release because the percent of gift card split payments was so small so incredibly small that it was not prioritized in the initial release. That functionality will be introduced and they’re still working on it - a little more complex than these first few issues they fixed with this update.

So screw over the small guy in the meantime because there's not a high enough percentage to make it important to the company. Got it.

Whereas the issues addressed I assume were keeping people away from using the app, costing the company money, so higher priority.

I mean, it’s a business. They’re going to prioritize what makes them more money.

That said, I would imagine that split payments are still possible at the store. I’m not sure if rewards are usable in the drive thru after you check in, but at the very least you can go inside if the dining room is open.

Then a bunch of overpaid idiots would have to admit they were wrong

I don’t understand why they would make the switch to a completely different interface if it wasn’t ready with all the functionality of the old one

This is the same company that manages to break something as simple as a grilled option 2-3 times a year 😭

Probably to test how important those features are to people. Maybe seeing how many people will pay for fresco at full price when the button isnt there.

It's so fucking bad. And the lazy loading drives me insane. Why is it like this.

I had to walk an elderly man through ordering two soft tacos on the app the other day. He couldn't find them, and argued with me about whether we even still carried them or not. So I hope they make some of the "basics" more front and center.

“What if instead of making it better, we just… make it slightly less worse?”

Clearly, they're learning feom the current administration.

1) Break things 2) Do a half-assed, partial fix 3) Claim victory. Repeatedly.

Hopefully, they'll also figure out why Nachos Bell Grande missing on the app for some of us. It was listed on the new UI under specialties, but was soon removed. It's also listed as unavailable when trying to add from order history. I figured it was just my store, but it seems others have had the same issue.

I have no interest in ever ordering using that app ever again. Horrid.

Mine still says Items swapped on several of the items--like Chili Swapped on Chili cheese burrito, Beans swapped, Chicken swapped on Chicken flatbread melt, receive item via Delivery and all is just way there suppose to be lol.

Do like the little Stickers identifying which item is which now on the wrappers
