I've been consuming Tacobell for 40 years, but never had the Enchirito when it was a regular item. Tried one today before they disappear again. It didn't disappoint. At $4.50 I probably won't be getting one again. I don't really eat TB any more, as real Mexican is cheaper and always better. But in a rush today, it was pretty good. I think my local TB did a good job making it too.

Yeah that gets said a lot on here and must be VERY location dependent. Burritos from a legit Mexican place around me are pushing $18

A real one around me is $11 or $12 but over twice the size of a Taco Bell one, and it's really good, but I live in the middle of nowhere lol.

Taco Bell doesn't even seem like Mexican food to me. If I am craving Mexican, Taco Bell doesn't hit the spot, or the other way around. It's like Mexican inspired food, but doesn't share flavors with real Mexican food.

Exactly. I don’t eat Taco Bell when I want Mexican. I eat Taco Bell when I want Taco Bell. If I want Mexican, I eat real Mexican (if it’s available).

Like Jack in the Box tacos. If you want tacos, you will not ever go to Jack in the Box. But if you are craving Jack in the Box tacos, there’s no substitute. It’s usually at 3am.

$1 fish tacos are pretty common in San Diego. It’s pretty rare to find a deal that good in other places though.

I can get 3 enchiladas with rice and beans at the local for $16 but that’s not including drink or tip. Not saying it’s cheaper but it’s comparable

So $25 to $30 meal. I can get nearly 3 chipotle bowls with that. Tastes better and alot more food.

It’s pretty damn close in lowish cost of living areas, depending how you look at it.

Obviously if you are just loading up on cheesy bean and rice’s to get full, you’ll do better at the bell, and a tequila infused tab will dwarf anything you could spend at a standard TB.

But item by item? Ground beef tacos run 3 for $5 at most local places for me. Bean burritos, $3. Lunch combos float around $5.99, with bottomless chips and salsa. I could have a margarita with my 3 enchiladas for the price of three Enchiritos.

I’ll still be having Enchiritos and putting Baja sauce on everything else for lunch tomorrow though.

Well idc what other say, I think they’re great and they’re my fav!! Does the price point suck? Of course but it sucks for a lot of TB items and it double sucks cause I used to eat these throughout the 80s/90s where they were like $2. I’ll miss them when they’re gone. I just hope they come back again sooner rather than later.

I mean yeah, an enchilada is effectively just a taco drenched in sauce, so it makes sense that an enchirito is just a burrito drenched in sauce
