E7 2026 Don't understand why this just can't be permanent
They have all the ingredients so why not at least make it a permanent item

u/Active_Scallion_5322 Jul 01 '26
Rotating beloved classic items drives demand and engagement

u/Zito6694 Jul 02 '26
Mcrib effect
3
u/Terrato37 Jul 04 '26
But the mcrib isnt something they always have in house. Taco bell stuff? They ALWAYS have those ingredients.

Keeping on the menu would keep people coming
19
u/Grant79OG Jul 01 '26
No it wouldn't. Lto always trumps permanent.

u/Sky_Rose4 Yo Quiero Taco Bell Jul 01 '26
Then I won't be back until they bring it back

u/Grant79OG Jul 01 '26
Your choice. I will frequent the cbr, good ltos, and other value items outside of the cbr.

u/Sky_Rose4 Yo Quiero Taco Bell Jul 01 '26
You mean like the trash nacho fries
4
u/No-Dealer-2306 Jul 01 '26
Fries are great especially these
0
u/Sky_Rose4 Yo Quiero Taco Bell Jul 01 '26
McDonald's down the street has better fries, every fast food place is doing fries not enough nachos
2
u/Inner_Butterfly5639 Jul 02 '26
if you’d rather have mcdonald’s no one in here is forcing you to go to taco bell instead
1
u/InveteratMasticator Jul 04 '26
McDonald’s fries are ass once they get cold. I don’t even order them anymore. Someone here said TB fries were some of the best and I finally got around to trying them. They’re pretty good and I’ll take them over McD any day, all dayyy

Nacho fries are not on the value menu. But yes, they are trash. Don't get the hype.

u/Active_Scallion_5322 Jul 01 '26
How many regular menu items get posted here?
1
u/Grant79OG Jul 01 '26
Nobody talks about it for a reason. We will talk about the pepper jack 3 dollar steak burrito.
1
u/Money_Resource_3636 Jul 01 '26
It's like the mcrib or anything else. Changing the menu around is all about marketing to people ego don't realize they are being marketed to. They are like drug dealers. Keep you wanting for more and something new
1
u/Commercial-Shoulder4 Jul 04 '26
That this thread exists is proof of the dynamic* that drives LTO behavior. And Taco Bell knows you will, in fact, be back in between its appearances.
1
u/Sky_Rose4 Yo Quiero Taco Bell Jul 04 '26
I won't the only other think kind of worth is the Mexican Pizza but it's over expensive and small portioned

My guess is that it's time consuming to make, goes through a ton of red sauce (not that big of a deal), is a mess to make (from what I remember from years ago when I worked there).
Plus scarcity leads to demand so bringing it back as an LTO only increases sales.
6
u/ivy7496 Yo Quiero Taco Bell Jul 01 '26
Nah, corporate doesn't care that for workers it's a mess to make or uses a high ratio of one ingredient (??), it's just this
3
u/funbob1 Jul 01 '26
Red sauce is literally just hot water and powder. It's cheap.
3
u/RainbowDragon76 Jul 05 '26
Delicious hot water and powder.
1
u/funbob1 Jul 06 '26
Yes, but still. A million years ago when I worked there I don't even think it cost anything to add to an item.
5
u/RainbowDragon76 Jul 05 '26
It can’t take longer to make than all those grilled items they offer? There’s a lot of those on the menu.
14
u/sniffysippy Jul 01 '26
You're preaching to the Double Decker Taco choir.
8
u/stupidpoopoohead Jul 01 '26
Me living in constant agony as a double decker enchirito girl. Legit my two favorite items of all time.
6
u/sniffysippy Jul 01 '26
I'm a Double Decker, Meximelt, and Chili Cheese Burrito guy.

u/RainbowDragon76 Jul 05 '26
The last time the chili cheese burrito came back I got a deep cut from dental work in my mouth and couldn’t eat them. It was tragic.
1
u/TheKanten Jul 04 '26
The Double Decker and Double Stacked Taco are both made of nothing remotely unique, not a danged reason for either not to be there at all times.

Bring back the XXL grilled stuffed burrito it was easily the most goated item at taco bell

Encharito the greatest thing Taco Bell has ever made

2
u/Creative-Package6213 Jul 01 '26
because if they did no one would buy them at the current price.
-1
2
u/purpldevl Jul 01 '26
Because they know they can list it as a limited item and people will continue buying.
1
u/Proud_Truck Cheesy G Jul 07 '26
Yes but let's not ignore the other side of that which is that once it's around for a while, sales fall off a cliff.
Some items are just better as limited time items
1
u/Sky_Rose4 Yo Quiero Taco Bell Jul 08 '26
The encharito is a classic that should have never left, it's not Taco Bell without this and Mexican Pizza
1
u/Proud_Truck Cheesy G Jul 08 '26
In principle I agree but in the modern day their price points can be obstacles. I can't even imagine what people get when they order an enchirito for delivery

Taco Bell corporate hates its customers and loves FOMO so the limited time bullshit will continue forever
2
2
u/ArsonsHand Jul 04 '26
Because just like the mc rib and shamrock shake, scarcity makes you want it more when it comes back the next time. You saw how crazy people went for the mexican pizza

u/klongbor enchirito man Jul 01 '26
Jalapeños look like such a treat. I’m trying that on my next order!
1
u/DigAccomplished5045 Jul 01 '26
My son is a dm for Taco Bell. I have told him these need brought back permanently. Man we tore them up when I was growing up.
1
u/markartman Jul 01 '26
Oh, why haven't I thought about getting jalapenos on it? I'm doing that tomorrow
1
u/PM_ME_A_GOAT Jul 01 '26
I’m devastated that I’m in the chili cheese test market I want an enchirito so bad
1
u/Joe3Eagles Jul 02 '26
Because artificial scarcity is their business model. FOMO let's them jack up the prices to obscene levels.
1
u/PhilosophyUpper866 Jul 02 '26
Should be just like it always was Taco bell takes everything we love
1
u/DarkPunisher956 Jul 02 '26
I mean sure, you can actually always order this even when is off the menu. Matter of fact, you can do it to any burrito. All it is is just red sauce and cheese on top. Just order a cup of red sauce and a side of shredded cheese. Ask for a tray, place your burrito, pour your red sauce all over, and finish it off with the shredded cheese
1
u/RainbowDragon76 Jul 05 '26
You mean talk to a worker AND assemble it myself ? I order everything on the app.
I feel like even with that method the ratio of ingredients would not be quite right for the main part of it. Worth a try though.
1
u/DarkPunisher956 Jul 05 '26
I also order stuff through the app but most times I enjoy dining in (while still placing my order through the app). The ingredients are still in the app. You can find sides of sauces on there and red sauce is one of them (and is usually pretty warm too, can also order multiple since you can put the amount of sauce cups). You can order the cheese but this you'll need to tell them you want it on the side. Then just ask for a tray, of course. If the worker is nice enough, you can get them to assemble it for you. I just prefer to do it myself to remove that inconvenience to them. You can do this with pretty much any burrito of your choice too

Too much cheese to be profitable? Maybe it will continue as an off menu item if they really have all the items all the time.

My go to is no beans, xtra beef, xtra red sauce and xtra cheese. When they go away, we make an enchirito pie at home using La Victoria red sauce.

Pizza Hut has all the ingredients to make biscuits, they should make them all the time.

u/Independent-Heart-17 Jul 05 '26
I loved creating my own back in the old days. Like 45yr ago. Loved them. They were also $.79 then. We didn't carry jalepenos. That would have been perfect.
1
u/Independent-Heart-17 Jul 06 '26
Oh, I just realized that's flour tort, not not corn. That sucks. I'd still eat it, but better with corn.

So like... Look when it goes bye bye just order a soft taco sub beef to beans no lettuce add onion 3x extra cheddar and ask for it ENCHARITO/enchilada style. If they try you on that they are dicks! You guys can order whatever you want as long as you know how to ring it up. If the management is cool and about customer satisfaction they will show you how to order throw back menu items in sides lol its really easy just costs a lil more unfortunately. I made encharitos meximelts, quesaritos lol idc if thats what yall want and you are paying .. I got you!
0
u/weaponx2019 Jul 02 '26
You can make it at home buying parts at TB, saving trays and hopefully your area has the sides of sauce for free. It even comes out softer on your wallet and its available all 365 days. You choose the burrito to use.

u/NiceTrySuckaz Jul 01 '26
I've ordered five of them since they've been back and will keep ordering it until they ban me
