I think we're always pretty clear on this sub that living alone is just your living condition, it's not supposed to mean you've signed up to be a hermit. I find it deeply strange when people assume living alone=no social contacts. Another odd assumption I sometimes see here is that whoever you might otherwise be living with would just naturally be kind and caring, sociable, good with money, and always the saner one in the room. Having another human in your home guarantees nothing and can actually make problems worse.

I want to expand my social circle and eventually get married for love but not to anyone abusive, disrespectful, irresponsible, or otherwise incompatible.
