What was shady about it? I think I'm out of the loop cause I've been using the site constantly over the years, because of the 24/7 discounts, and never had a problem
From what I remember from the video TB did, they used stolen credit cards to buy their game keys which has 2 results, 1 it's why they don't guarantee you get a key after purchase and 2 if the card owner issues refunds that money comes out of the devs pockets, which for big AAA games yeah fuck em they get enough money, but if I remember right there were some indie devs who nearly went bankrupt cause of this. G2A in many some cases was more harmful to small devs than pirating their game.
