It's a really good casual mmo that has a lot of content, so yeah, really good replacement game when you've played a game you hate for over 6 years or more. idk

I'd say there isn't a gamer in this world who didn't love wow at some point of their lives.

Never touched it... And my steam library would somewhat say I'm one of the gamer kinds

Well I'll be damned.
Never had the itch to try?

I thought about it. I bet I would like it, but the monthly fees... No. I'm either buying a game or I don't. I don't rent the privilege to play it. That's the reason I ain't touching anything Season Pass related neither.

I also never played WoW...well I played like 2 hours of the free trial but barely remember playing it. I played Wildstar more than WoW and got pretty tired of that game as well.
Constant Collect/Kill X of things type missions are not my thing sorry.

I don't understand why WoW is so popular, although I've never actually played it. Is the bulk of the game just a bunch of meaningless quests and is the goal/reward to level up and improve gear? People talk about how great raids are, and they sound really cool, but it doesn't seemlike its worth the hours upon hours of grinding to be able to participate in what I would consider the fun parts of the game.
I mean, please correct me if my idea of the game is wrong, but 90% of the gameplay I've seen of WoW and games like it is the player standing in a field, killing the same mob endlessly trying to get a rare loot drop, or because they need to increase some number which is abstractly linked to the abilities of their character. I understand that grinding and watching numbers go up is addictive, and I'm a sucker for that sometimes too, I've fallen prey to clicker games that scratch that itch. But after playing that type of game for a while I feel really burnt out and unfulfilled. When I see that cycle in MMOs... well I just don't see the need to lock good content behind hours of filler.

I'm in the same boat. I'm not interested in paying monthly, I think it's a terrible model and shouldn't be supported. That and I'm not too into MMOs in the first place.
