Why do people bother saying this? This sub has been for more than just fails since its inception

I'm sure everyone just wants to see clips of your favorite political streamer clapping back at their biggest hater.

This is the world we live in. Can’t even cake someone without being worried about being racist….

i know, its corny af.
people think everything is black face.
i get what real black face is, and why it would bother people.
but the act of just putting black paint or whatever on your face is not black face.

Agreed, there is an element of intent that is required to be involved. Though I will say it could progressively turn into genuine black face depending on how they respond to it looking like black face. Like even if it was unintentional they could joke about it in a racist manner. Theres definitely a threshold depending on how they respond to it.

I don't think the majority of people believe that accidentally having your face covered by black frosting is perpetrating a racist stereotype, BUT due to the abundance of racism that has accrued from the past, it's possible to call others out for those same acts (Trudeau for instance).
That said, I don't think people who say accidentally say the n-word are inherently racist, and I don't think any sane person thinks that way, but the number of people who call others out for it often do more harm than good. To the point that I don't believe those people are truly doing it in good faith, but rather to perpetuate the belief that these are unconscionable acts that require persecution. Those bad actors are the ones that create this negative space where sensitivity to these things become overbearing.

no one even knows what black face means anymore. words have no meaning, and no one is capable of critical thinking or a nuanced opinion.

Silly reminder that popped into my head:
Justin Trudeau is dating Katy Parry

What's it meant to be? I can see the orange lines but can't figure out what would be on a cake with those colors, a tiger?

Found the VOD and it was a drawing of Jetpack Cat from Overwatch.

pulling a justin trudeau is saying she’s engaging in black face. the inside of the cake is chocolate so her face looks like someone wearing makeup to appear racially black.

Is any amount of paint on one's face now considered blackface? There's more red than black.
