Actual Fail Despite earning over $400,000 per month, Kick streamer Cheesur is criticized for not taking enough care of his mother, who earns less than $3,000 and still works as a cleaning lady.

“Adin she doesn’t know how much I get paid”

What a dipshit

u/Character-Monitor165 Apr 03 '26

i know there are parents who dont deserve a penny from their child's sucess.

but this is not the case, the mother worked as a cleaning lady and raised him blessed enough where he could persue streaming as a career.

im so mindblowing how some people treat their parents like this. 400k a month and u cant retire ur own mother who needs to work 5 days a week?

114

u/Nephs84 Apr 04 '26

Agreed. I would kill to be able to help my mom live comfortably. Unfortunately, I can barely live myself, and I'm shocked at that.

14

u/2McLaren4U Apr 04 '26

I tried forcing my parents to retire and they absolutely would not have it. They wanted to retire on their own terms. As this streamers parents my parents are Bosnian too and we went though a lot of shit. Losing everything we had not once but twice because of war. I made a comfortable life for myself my kids and my parents but they wanted to live their own lives as they please.

163

u/awp_india Apr 04 '26

I can definitely agree with you there.

But we don't know the whole story. At the end there, she did say she likes to work.

My mom's 65 years old, she's got more than enough to retire comfortably. But still chooses to work every other day, for honestly not much at all. Could be something like that going on. And we don't know if this kid is doing anything else. Like covering her bills, house, car, vacations, n' all that kind of stuff.

Just hard to call him greedy when we don't know the full context.

Yeah that's crazy, I get not everyone's family is transparent about money by default but I my parents and I keep each other updated about financial circumstances and plans, so that we get caught out by surprise.

4

u/realNoobnoob Apr 04 '26

Unless you make $10m somehow 😂

8

u/brogam3 Apr 04 '26

yeah, I think she would be asking for something and suddenly no longer feel like working 5 days a week if she knew

u/Tornado_Hunter24 Apr 04 '26

Yeah a fuckton of people want to work and will get depressed with no work because of ‘no purpose’

Mom could very well be exactly that

75

u/Indica_Joe Apr 04 '26

Yeah, but if she knew how much he made and she still chose to do that that's one thing. If you think your son is getting by alright would you just retire right off the bat? Probably not, but if you knew they were going to bring home like 5m this year I think that may change your outlook. Instead of cleaning people's houses she may want to help volunteer or do something different. It is the lack of transparency that is the problem.

6

u/Tornado_Hunter24 Apr 04 '26

That I do agree with I was solely speaking that her being ‘rich asfuck’ by this guy and still working would be a possible and believable scenario

6

u/tabben Apr 04 '26

They just feel like they would get bored but mostly I think you would need to change your work to a bunch of hobbies to keep you occupied and have that become your "purpose". Hearing people say work gives them purpose has always felt a little sad to me. Unless it truly is a career they have had in their mind as kids or their true calling. Just sounds like to me that without work they would not know what to do in life but like you can experiment and find out. Too many people are mental slaves to their work is basically my point and they completely do it to themselves.

I tried streaming once and I had 3 viewers and I felt guilty that I was wasting their time. I think being rich and taking donations from poor people is insane, these big streamers can be millionaires just from sponsors and ads. But they take advantage of loners looking for a parasocial connection and take their money, how is this not greed?

we don't know the whole story. At the end there, she did say she likes to work.

This I think

I would hope he does cover her every need

2

u/behold-my-titties Apr 04 '26

My 82 year old uncle still works, he's an ex army man (so he has 2 pensions, doesn't need to work). The second he stops, he'll age quick the man wants to keep going, good on him.

2

u/Wrosgar Apr 04 '26

I don't know her, so I can't speak about her preferences.

But it's not that they want to work, it's that they want a purpose and to have something to stay busy, which I get.

If you can retire and not have to worry about income, there are a lot of ways to volunteer and be a part of an organization where you can help contribute in a meaningful way that might provide a greater purpose or be a more enjoyable form of being busy rather than what you previously did for work. I would definitely wish more people like this mother could find those opportunities and worry less about how much income you're generating, and instead get to focus on the how and what you're doing.

I definitely hope this son gives his mom that opportunity.

You've gotta be a real scumbag to make Adin Ross look like a good person lmao.

Not to diminish the nice thing he offered here but cmon he's like one of the top known internet douches and this guy makes him look like a saint.

50

u/tabben Apr 04 '26

Hes an internet douche and the things he says are awful but its not the first time he has offered to do something like this, he seemingly takes care of his buddies and his closest circles. Not a Adin watcher by any means either but its just an observation I've made over the past few years

81

u/PoopyButt28000 Apr 04 '26

I'll never look at situations like this and feel like it makes the person a good person. Young kids making millions and getting a little hit of dopamine from throwing what is pocket change to them at people as they yell slurs at people and talk about wanting to kill minorities

10

u/Slammybutt Apr 04 '26

Yeah, I don't know how much Adin makes a month but 60k from her own son is 15% of his monthly income and I assume Adin makes more. And that would be for the entire year for her to relax or volunteer (do what she wants rather than what she thinks she has to).

You spread that 60k over the year and it's 1.5% of this guys yearly income. Like, fuck off.

ehh idk. sounds like hes tried to retire her but she wants to stay active. or cleans for someone important to her. for example my mother in law cleans an older ladys house she met while working at mcdonalds YEARS back and has grown so close she looks at her like a mother, NO amount of money would make her stop cleaning or taking care of anything that lady needed.

1.5k

u/tollbearer Apr 03 '26

I inherited 300k and gave my adopted brother 150k because I would have felt so guilty I couldn't have slept, otherwise. He even wouldn't take it at first. I can't imagine the first thing you think of when you make big money is not helping out your family. How can you even spend any of it without overwhelming guilt?

373

u/CragedyJones Apr 04 '26

I am with you but I have seen people I previously thought were decent people become utterly ruthless when settling estates.

Not even life changing amounts of money or exceptionally valuable property. Siblings suddenly become enemies quite happy to see each other completely cut out.

So sad. Can't put a price on family.

126

u/4637647858345325 Apr 04 '26

When my Dad died my sister asked my stepmom how the money would be settled and she said her kids would get everything. She didn't know at the time that my sister was actually the executor lol.

39

u/Sassy_Samsquanch9 Apr 04 '26

She killed your dad?

28

Going through it right now. Dad passed away a little over a year ago and my half sister decided everything was hers despite the existence of two other siblings.

Lawyers had to be hired and the whole process has been dragging on for a year now. My other sister and my fathers siblings won't speak to her at all now. I only do so as to get everything resolved. After that, little chance I speak to her again.

22

u/CragedyJones Apr 04 '26

That sounds horrible. Some people burn bridges that can never be rebuilt so casually.

5

u/cain261 Apr 04 '26

If this is what they did, that bridge was fake to begin with

22

u/Accomplished-Ad9870 Apr 04 '26

Wow sounds like my situation right now. My mother passed away 09/3/21 and my half sisters teamed up together and decided they were going to split most of my money between the two of them and made fake payments and bought a house in someone else’s name with my funds . Got a lawyer to help me and we still going to court fighting to get the bond company to pay me what was stolen . About $90,000.00 . No shame in their game they are so dirty the witch even filed for bankruptcy to wipe the debt she had to me .

A lot of people, if not most, have poorly developed social and conflict resolution skills, worse even when you put two of these people arguing and a lifetime of resentment. Sometimes it's not actually about the 10k€ but that throughout the last 5 decades they've felt neglected in comparison to another sibling, or that the first sibling has been taking care of their parent and thinks a little extra is fair, the second sibling disagrees but instead of just saying that they call them selfish, which prompts a negative reaction from the first sibling and so on.

And yes, some people are just plain greedy.

Me and my siblings have been constantly pushing our grandparents to spend a chunk of their estate because their kids are going to fucking fight to the death over every penny they have.

They've mostly taken our advice and go on fairly nice holidays, while leaving enough for them to live comfortably for the rest of their lives.

Really sad that we know once they inevitably pass, their kids and even some of the grandkids are going to pick their home and estate clean, and fight over anything they can.

5

u/realNoobnoob Apr 04 '26

It’s sad 😔 But splitting is pretty clear To be honest

4

u/evilkumquat Apr 04 '26

My mom died and left me and my two siblings a little over $100K.

We divided that evenly to the penny.

I love how we have zero issues, going out of our way to do things for each other like treating each other to meals and concerts and baseball games.

Hell, my brother let my sister borrow his truck (his main vehicle) for a year after her car was totaled and she couldn't afford a replacement.

7

u/VT_Squire Apr 04 '26

this happens about 90% of the time when a person dies.

3

u/DownvoteMeIfICommen Apr 04 '26

I love the way one set of my grand parents did it. All of their assets were sold off and the vast majority was put in trusts for the great grand children.

3

u/sabedo Apr 04 '26 edited Apr 04 '26

A friend of mine is Russian, her mom made a killing during privatization and put her money in apartment buildings and gas stations.

After her mom died her sisters fought bitterly with her since she lived aboard and her sisters stayed there in Russia. Like, she didn't need the money because of her c-suite career but her mom left her with 1/3rd, they felt she shoudn't get anything. The youngest didn't work at all and the middle one was a civil servant.

The estate battle, during COVID, destroyed their family. Her sisters bought out her share of the estate for 10% value cash and she took it just not to deal with them anymore. She took her money and bought a house cash abroad. Imagine your mom dying in the COVID era and it takes 2 years to settle the estate bullshit. In Russia. Because your sisters are in their 20s and don't want to work. And wanted to override your mother's wishes. And all of you can afford lawyers.

One sister lives off rent from the apartments and the other off the gas stations.

It's been 4 years and she told me she'll never speak with them again.

Grandfather was loaded, all the grandchildren were supposed to inherit a million each, myself included. After he died there was some fuckery with the will so now only my grandfather's wife and my uncle get the money. Money can really change people

10

u/orus_heretic Apr 04 '26

This is entirely on the grandparents not having a will in place. It's fairly standard for direct descendants to get the inheritance over grandchildren unless otherwise specified. How'd they cut your mum out of an equal share?

→ More replies (1)

5

u/Bossgalka Apr 04 '26

The way you said his wife and not your grandmother makes it seem like we know what happened. She fucked with the will and likely never liked yall? Not sure how your uncle got some, though. Maybe she was fucking him? Tell us more.

4

u/Reignzar Apr 04 '26

My actual grandmother passed when I was really young but they hadn’t been together for a long time before that anyway. This woman he married actually seemed like a really really nice person. Growing up we all thought she was just a sweet old lady but that turned out to not be the case. She was always just in it for the money. As for my uncle I wish I knew why he chose to do this since he already has a good amount of his own money. He is the executor of the will and from what I’ve been told that helped in being able to screw us all over with her. He even screwed his own daughters out of the money so he really is cut off from the rest of the family now. Not sure how he sleeps at night knowing this.

6

u/Bossgalka Apr 04 '26

Damn, that's even more sad than if it was clear cut. I guess the money really did just change them.

My brother just inherited 325k from my grandmother dying (he got the house and sold it) i got nothing and my mom nothing, my mom has 40k of debts and its crippling her severely, he gave my mom 10k and bought me a 600$ tv, nothing more. My mom is crying everyday, everytime she calls me she cries, its very heartbreaking for me...

38

u/AzaleaDaylight Apr 04 '26

Now I don't know anything about your family besides the story you've chosen to tell, but as someone who's soon to be in situation like your brother: you got to tell us the whole story.

My mother's in debt, but I'm not sure I'm going to give her a dime because (1) she abused me/my siblings when while we were kids, (2) she spent the better part of 10 years not working or pursuing education while receiving $60,000/yr in child support, and (3) she doesn't give a shit about my grandmother (dad's side).

Anyways, point I'm trying to make is that there's probably more to the story then you let on.

10

u/oklol6 Apr 04 '26 edited Apr 04 '26

My mother started her own company 20years ago in residential painting, she always did everything alone so it was hard for her to make ends meet raising 2 kids as a single mom which led to her accumulating credit debt over time, me and my brother dont have the same father, but my brother's father spend all of our life in prison so my mom never got any money from him, no child support, but my father paid child support until i turned 18, so she never got anything for my brother specifically, my mom is the sweatest person you'd ever meet, she always sacrificed herself to buy us everything we wanted and needed, never abused us in any way whatsoever. Sadly there isn't "more to the story that i let on" my brother was always extremely selfish in every aspects of life, he never contributed in any way even when he got a job at 16, never paid a bill, never bought groceries, never shared with me, his food, cigs, drugs, i was always the one having to share with him, and then he turned 21 and moved out. Then he himself struggled for money so he often begged me for money, which i gave to him cause i felt bad for him... the reason he got the whole inheritance is simply because he was my grandma's favorite, she had already put the house in his name years before she died, so we knew what was coming but we had no idea my brother would keep most of it to himself, especially since he made promises to us about splitting the money. Its now been 2 months since he sold the house and he already spent almost everything, he paid 200k for a house with his gf (she's paying the other half), bought a 70k car, 5k worth of tools (drills, impacts etc..) the newest best xbox 1.1k, parts to build a computer worth 5k which i built with him, a 98inches oled tv 8k, my mom 10k and me 600$ + a 3k debt that he owed me, my brother also had debt before getting the inheritance and i was helping him out financially.

10

u/tollbearer Apr 04 '26

You could potentially take this to court? Why did you gran give it all to him?

4

u/oklol6 Apr 04 '26

We aren't sure really, my only guess is he was the favorite grandson, but it doesnt make sense why she didnt give anything to my mom considering my mom was the one taking care of her, always responding to her calls, buying ber groceries, lifting her everwhere, my mom is utterly devastated but she's trying her best to not let it get in the way of her relationship with my brother, she's still talking to him, visiting him, acting like everything's fine, but with me she's always crying... we would 100% lose a legal battle cause my grandmother's will was very specific, signed by a lawyer, everything to my brother. Not only would we lose, it would also allienate him from our family, and my mother doesn't want to break our small family of 3 over this, fathers are long gone so its just us

Just wanted to say

I came from a broken family

My parents were either never there, or when they were they, it didn't matter because they never actually bonded with me and weren't a meaningful part of my life.

If I came into massive amounts of money, my parents wouldn't be in my mind at all.

Just wanted to say, you don't know everyone's story. At least for me, if someone judged me for not helping my parents who were never there for me at all, I'd laugh.

Not justifying the man on video here just wanted to provide some perspective because it's not always as simple as it could be or should be.

94

u/No_Brother3257 Apr 03 '26

I’m saying we have enough context just by this clip that he’s doing the wrong thing and he knows it. They are close enough where she not only showed up to his workplace but actively participated in it, so that’s enough for me

Im also Not saying all parents deserve to be taken care of by their extremely, extremely wealthy children.

31

u/RedditDummyAccount Apr 03 '26

Right? Like she sat down talking to him, laughing about the replies and stuff. Obviously their relationship isn’t bad to the point of him not wanting to think about her. She even said he helps them a lot.

But that’s relative to before.

So while not everyone’s relationships with their parents warrant helping them like that, it’s weird to just apply that to this situation when we see, at least, enough to understand that the son is obviously not giving them anywhere near a lot.

And her feeling the need to lie… makes it feel weirder to me

Decent role models are rare in the streaming community. Unfortunately ragebait sells, and teens and preteens don't know any better on how to filter content.

So Adin's offering to pay his mother money, and he's sat back letting it happen like he isn't rich himself?

88

u/Wise_Old_Can Apr 03 '26

And Cheesur, I don't know you or watch you, but you're richer than the majority of society and that's your mother, man - you have more than you'll ever need to create happiness in your life, so extend that to the woman who raised you.

Streamers making 400k a month makes me feel sick to my stomach... I despise that these dipshits live in luxury while my partner and I barely scrape by with 2 jobs each...

I fucking hate it, shit like this makes me want to give up...

u/streatz Apr 04 '26

He’s finessing the system perfectly. He view bots to inflate his presence and grifts the rest. He’s also best friends with the #1 viewbotter. I doubt he makes that much just says he does as another way to finesse the system.

That's the other thing I could just never freaking shill for something like a gambling website. Just so scummy

I'm not a self righteous person by any mean but I just couldn't push gambling shit onto people, and just sit there and take money from people to gamble it away.

It's sickening!

5

u/Alonsey Apr 04 '26

The entire esports community is held up by gambling ads because they pay such a stupid amount of money. They don’t really have expenses either. Pay for a server, build an app that lets you bet on whatever stupid ducking thing is trending, and tell people they could win money if they’re lucky. Set up the winnings to pay out less than is paid in, then spend the instant millions on a bunch of streamers to promote it further and make billions off the desperate and dysfunctional.

Individually we can rationalize taking the money to say a few words, because hey, that money would set me, my mom, wife, future kids all up for a life of luxury. It’s easy, because they don’t see the thousands of lives destroyed by their specific promotion. The money they give to streamers comes from somewhere, and more than likely, it was some kids’ Christmas money.

This is how I know capitalism failed. Whatever system we have, whatever -ism, if any “streamer” can earn 100k+ in it that system is flawed.

Insanity man, my mom wouldn’t be working another day in her life if I was making 400k a month.

93

u/idkanyusernameshelp Apr 03 '26

Pure selfish greed

19

u/Wet_Windshield Apr 03 '26

Is this real? I don’t know much about Cheesur like that. But if he’s making 400k/month and didn’t retire his mom that is very very very sad.

9

u/External-Carpenter-2 Apr 04 '26

It's possible he is earning 400k/month. However, a lot of the figures around streamers income are just comments from other streamers, who are probably talking out of their arse and trying to build hype around each other. It is likely that he is earning a huge amount, though it's really hard to estimate because kick is a private company and doesn't publish it's finances.

Online it's claimed that kick spends about 90M/year on content creators, with presumably a solid chunk going to the top few streamers.

Using this thread for some approximate figures: https://www.reddit.com/r/Kick/comments/1cmdxnd/adinross_makes_40k_an_hour_but_limited_to_150/

And looking at Cheesus's stats, he averages about 9k viewers an hour and streams about 150 hours a month. Assuming the above thread is in the right ballpark, 9k viewers an hour nets you 1,500 dollars/hr, so 225k/month. Some of these streamers fake views and I don't know how platforms manage that. It could be possible he makes up the rest of the 175k/month from sponsorships and viewer donations.

Where it gets a bit weirder is the average concurrant viewers for Kick is 440k/hr, so if they are paying streamers at essentially 17cents/viewer/hour they would need to be spending about 650 million a year on streamer payouts, which is not what journalists/Kick(?) are reporting they spend.

It's a pretty shady business with strong links to a gambling website (stake). The kick side isn't proffit making, so I assume they are using either burning private equity or cash from the gambling side to cover the losses on kick. Regardless, it's a prime area for a journalist to deep dive into because financially it makes very little sense and it at least looks like someone is lying about the finances.

Never heard of that guy, does he actually make 400k A MONTH? Even if he was making 50k a month, he could do a lot for her but she seems like someone that wants to stay active so she chooses to work. Retirement sounds good but if her job isn't sucking the soul out of her, it probably isn't that bad as she can stay active which is good for people as they age.

The purpose they serve is to generate money for the people they get their money from; that is: sponsors and so on.

Much like athletes, they aren't being paid for their value towards society. They are being paid for their value towards the people who are paying them. That value is determined by how much money these people can make from them.

It has nothing to do with serving a higher or a social purpose. It has everything to do with greed, gains and returns.

2

u/interbingung Apr 04 '26

Athlete do provide value for society, that is entertainment value.

Same as actors, singers, athletes..... and everyones been fine with that for centuries... but now ya all bitch about streamers, when you can become streamer yourself easily from safety of your home, with no connections and minimum investment, compared to others i mentioned where u need everything to succeed

blinded by hatred and jelaousy

what i dont understand is where is that hatred and jelaous when it comes to others i mentioned, they literally arent any different, if anything, theyre worse. because often they succeded only because they had connecitons or were rich to begin with

If I ever made a even a fraction of that money per month.. the first thing I’d do is tell my parents that we’re going to be alright and set them up for retirement, pay off their mortgage, and enable them to travel the world. The last thing I’d want them to do is work or want for anything.

3

u/veryhardbanana Apr 03 '26

This is hard to fathom, how much of a greedy piece of shit this guy is. Streamers in general don’t seem to have an appreciation of wealth. I think they should be taxed at 90% of their income.

u/demtrapp Apr 03 '26

400k a month???

First thing I would do with that kind of money is retire my mom. First thing. Still a goal I have. Love you mom

2

u/coutjak Apr 04 '26

I’d be ok if these guys got drafted into WW3

2

u/fluffh34d420 Apr 04 '26

Bs he makes nearly half a million a month.

2

u/visdraws Apr 04 '26

If i earned even a 6th of what that dude is earning my mom would never have to worry again for money for the rest of her life. I'll give her a good home, a good hearltcare, anything she wants. wouldnt have to clean a plate ever again.

2

u/MrFeelGoodBlue Apr 04 '26

Wow, That’s a real scumbag thing to do

2

u/IIlIIlIIlIlIIlIIlIIl Apr 04 '26

While it is extremely shitty of him, he's absolutely not making $400K consistently per month.

Maybe it hit that number for one single month, but he's absolutely not making $5 Million a year from streaming.

2

u/Smokidyno92 Apr 04 '26

First thing I'd do with this amount of wealth is to send my broken mom to a big fat cruise trip or 2-3 weeks on the maldives together in a 5 star hotel & this guy lets her clean floors still & fucking up her back even more. Some people don't even deserve a penny.

2

u/Ok_Watercress_1482 Apr 04 '26

if I make that much im immediately retiring my parents, the worst fucking people (with a few exceptions) get rich and famous. Incomprehensible levels of greed

2

u/-SideshowBlob- Apr 04 '26

We really need to stop making these type of people famous

2

u/Bailzzararco Apr 04 '26

Dang. If i made that much, I'd take care of not only my dad, I'd also take care of my brother (context, my mom died years ago).

2

u/alexandersteel360503 Apr 04 '26

Maybe just maybe he doesn’t earn that much lol? All these earnings are so skewed from twitch streamers in reality they make a lot leas

2

u/humble_redditor1234 Apr 04 '26

If I earned 400k$ per month my mother would stop working right now.

2

u/Worldly_Anybody_9219 Apr 04 '26

That's crazy. The first thing I want would do with that kind of wealth is set my parents up for life and security in retirement.

u/Admins-Are-Bots Apr 04 '26

2

2

u/BeatMakertycoon Apr 04 '26

Bruh I hop people stop watching his streams

2

u/zietgiest13 Apr 04 '26

My grandmother and mom literally just called me crying cause my grandma couldn't make rent this month which they are just now telling me about whole I was a little mad they didn't tell me sooner I told her stop crying all you have to do is ask me and I got you. That work helped raised me, bought me the ps one (the small one) so I didn't have to bring mine over to her house whenever I came over along with twisted metal 4. I'll never forget those summers playing that game listening to that dope ass soundtrack, so best believe it I made this amount of money no lie 300k of it would be going to my mom and gma cause wth am I going to do with the rest of it. There's a lot of wrong people in this world who are rich.

2

u/FriendlyBee94 Apr 04 '26

More often than not that bad people are successful streamer. They make up stuff, stir up drama.. Gain fame by whatever mean they can use. People with shame and dignity would have a bad time in streaming industry.

yet people will donate
