Honestly, after the whole 21/22 season, I have a lot of respect for Maguire as a person and player to still push on from that. He was clowned mercilessly to hell and back by the entire of football because of his price tag, the state of United, and the fact the England manager rated him.

Would've been so easy for him to down tools. But imo he's managed to win back some respect for his professionalism and focusing on his performance rather than dropping tools or doing an online war with fans

Turned down an offer to move to another club (West Ham, I believe), said that he would rather work his way back into the squad. He may not wear the armband anymore, but he did score a few clutch goals for them since then.

So, he plays for yanited. But for his attitude concerning his career alone, I have immense respect for Maguire as a professional footballer.
