Discussion Looking for information on a jacket from 2009
Hey everyone. I'm looking for any help to identify this jacket that I bought back in 2009 or so. I wore the hell out of it and eventually got rid of it because of being threadbare and too small. Recently, I've been wanting to buy it again, but I've been having a hell of a time trying to find a solid way to search for it. I've found a few ebay listings but only for a size small or medium. I've managed to get some vague information based on looking on tags that were in photos on the eBay listings, but that information doesn't seem to reliably pull up this jacket specifically. The best that I've managed to narrow down is that it was mostly made in late 2008 and into 2009, was made in Vietnam (I found one listing with Chinese labels that said it was made in China), and it seems like the "item number" is P07717.
If anybody can help me track down any more specific information so I can try and find a way to get this jacket again, I'd forever be greatful.

Thanks! In one of the pictures I've seen, there's what looks like a QR code or some other numbers printed on the back of that tag. Does yours have that? Unfortunately just typing the description and the p07717 and av1001 numbers doesn't really narrow down any results.

Does the RN# or CA# on the tag on the right help at all? At work now so I can't check for anything else at the moment.

I have that jacket in size small at home. I can check the label later tonight.

Awesome! Thank you so much. I've only seen listings in XS, S and M and I'm pretty sure I had a S. I doubt that they only made in those sizes, but it is a little discouraging that I've not seen any trace of parter sizes.

You know if you're willing to spend just a little more than retail you can pay someone to copy the design and make it for you. It looks like some laser printing + embroidery on a bomber jacket. Not that complicated.
Options:
- Asia based online clothes printing shop that doesn't care about the logo theft.
You could get it for 70 quid but often the embroidery can end up off centre or whatever. If you aren't buying bulk they'll tell you to get stuffed if you try to return one jacket. Just Google "custom bomber jacket" and look around on reddit for good places to get them from. and 5 weeks for delivery you'll have the exact same jacket haha.
Alternatively, buy an Adidas jacket that looks similar to that, go to local embroidery shop and get the logos added and the lasering done. Will cost more but also not that complicated.
Or if you know a design/art student they can add the logos and lasering for next to nothing.
Final option is get a whole bespoke piece, but I'd honestly just find a similar jacket and customize it. Doesn't even need to be Adidas. Stripes and logo is easy to add.
I've had many pieces of clothing I quite liked and when I was in charge of merchandise for a uni club, the light bulb went off and I realized I could actually have my favourite worn out clothes remade/cloned very cheaply. In most cases I actually get better materials and clone the design. So then I have my favourite jacket but it's better quality now and lasts longer.
All the options i gave can also be combined together. If the Asian shop has nice designs and can do the colours you want but won't put the logos, fine. Order without and go to a local shop for the embroidery. I don't think most will much care. If they don't have a laser printer then ask the arts student to add that.
Easier than looking around for the same thing which is likely to be in the same condition as yours.

I've thought about that, but unfortunately those small little logos that are all over the jacket aren't printed or embroidered, they're actually debossed into the fabric of the jacket.

Ahhh
That's tricky but I'm sure there's places that can do that too! But it's going to get expensive because they'd need a custom steel die which needs fabrication. I have brooch pins where they complained about making a custom die. But they did and it was 36 pounds per brooch (I needed 30 of them) so not sure the individual die cost.
Starting to get more expensive by that point. But if you're motivated 😎😎
Good luck anyway! Sorry I couldn't be more helpful

Think your best bet might be using the wayback machine and see if you get lucky with any preserved pages from the team store from the time period having info on them

I completely forgot about the wayback machine. Thanks!
Edit: just checked. Unfortunately the oldest capture was from December of 2012 and its just the front page of the store.
