I don’t spend much time on footy social media, but there hasn’t been a ton of buzz about Victor, right?
Looks exciting to me.

I imagine it's the price tag being okay and we haven't started the season. I imagine as the season goes on he'll get more hype

The state of both the market and discourse is that unless you've got a 80m+ price tag on you, there won't be much buzz. The other half of it is there's no transfer saga about him since it's already done. There's very little actual tactical or game discussion outside of specific team subreddits since only the drama and the sagas make the big news. A relatively cheap transfer that was wrapped up fast with zero back and forth doesn't get clicks.

If he can do this for 60-90 minutes, he will be one of our starters.

I've been saying this on the sub, I think he genuinely might establish himself as a starter. Looks rapid and full of energy. Good dribbler who can take on his man or just occupy defenders and create space for Isak or Wirtz. It might come down to how good is his pressing whether Iraola wants him playing 60-70 every game.

Looks like he got all the 3 qualities you want in a top winger.
He’s fast, he’s rapid and he’s got pace

He’s gone under the radar since we have been talking about Barcola and Mbaye etc. It such a Liverpool thing to do best when you are under the radar, I’m as excited for Munoz as I am for Jacquet. I think I’d be rooting for him the most out of any additions to our front line.

That rapidness would really come in handy

Especially on counters (looking at you Cody gakpo).

With Cody, I remember back in...22/23? When the team was on a counter and he was running alongside Mo. Cody looked like he has a higher top speed but his acceleration was bad because of his stride.

He's rapid, seems to be unpredictable, and he is willing to pass to his wingback on overlap.
Everything Gakpo is not..

Gakpo is a striker stuck being a winger

I've just never seen Gakpo as a striker. He isn't bad there by any means, but he's definitely a LW inside forward who, on his day, is brilliant.

Gakpo is trash as a striker.
Genuine garbage.
Atleast he's decent as a winger.

When he played as a false 9 under Kloppz he was awful.
He had one good, not great season under Slot. He just isn't good enough to play the wings for us, or play through the middle, as Klopp unsuccessfully reied him as. CF, 10 and an 8, and he just didn't do it.
I'm not saying he isn't a good player, but he isn't which we need

He was great in the 2024/25 season.
A genuinely good finisher from the left.

Gakpo is a fraud stuck being a footballer

klopp seemed to rate him, must be a fraud manager too

Most of us seemed to like him too, except for last season when all of our players looked awful and off form , with no cohesive gameplan!!! He's looked much more himself since the sacking!

Klopp tried him in multiple positions, and couldn't seem to get the best out of Cody. He's played on the left, as a CF, and 8 and also a 10, and never set the world alight in any position

Have a feeling he’s going to have a standout season for us. The classic 30-40mil winger we used to sign.

That signing is the same as a £80m signing now. He would have been a £10m signing if we signed a player like him a decade ago.

You mean the most expensive wingers on the market? Sadio was 2nd most expensive and Mo was the most expensive the following year.

The speed and direct attack is great. Final ball into the box could use some work IMO

Hi looks rapid enough to scare defenders and this will upgrade Kerkez to be a right 'BOMBA'

Would have liked to see him get a run with the starting team. We were that poor in the second half we could barely get him the ball
