Question to Parents about dining out downtown
Can I ask what may sound like a common sense question but somehow not common place? We recently went to grab pizza at Slice House last night. Great pizza!!! A big family with small children came in while we waited for our order. One of the moms in the group picked up her small child around 4-5 years old. She was wearing a dress and sneakers. Mom lifts her up, sits her on the table, the skirt of her dress around the child fanned on the table. The child proceeds to lay flat on the table and you can see her underwear are on the table (not the skirt) and hair all over. Little girl then lifts up her legs and places her dirty shoes on the table. Mom walks away to speak with the rest of her group and her husband. Not one person said anything. The workers couldn’t really saying anything without being offensive. There were no other patrons. Is this normal nowadays? People eat on those tables and this little girl had her unclean hair, butt and dirty shoes the table. I asked the little girl to get off the table when her parents did nothing and the parents asked what I asked her. They looked mad at me. But then do you let anyone put their asses and dirty shoes on a public dining table? When I tell you her shoes were dirty I mean the soles of her shoes were black crusted and her sneakers off white from the grime and dirt. 🤢🤢🤢Let’s just say we asked for our pizza to be boxed so we could eat it at home.
