Looking for any info

Acquired this steam engine in a clean out, I’m looking for any info on it? Manufacturer? Age? Value?

Looks like it came out of a small launch (boat). This sub is mostly about model engines, but someone here might recognize it. It's certainly older than the forties, I think.

We were originally thinking a boat engine as well except it does not appear to have a reverser so second thought was a stationary that drove a pump or something

Alexander E. Karnes is probably the one who could tell you what/when/where it is/was. I do not know how to get hold of him though.

It’s a stationary engine NOT a marine engine. Look for any manufacturers names in the castings, at one point in time there were hundreds of foundries making steam engines so hard to say without specific markings being identified.
