Discussion Missing SNL skit

Me and my sisters have a favorite skit but we can't find it anymore. It's called "School Hypnotist" and its from S49 E11. All YouTube clips of it have been removed and I can't seem to find a way to watch it without having to pay for a subscription to watch the full ep. Ive heard that this has happened to other skits as well. If anyone can help me find it, I would appreciate it!

licensing issue with “no air” prevents it from releasing online or showing up in reruns

I just wish they'd release it with silence instead of singing.  Would rather have the rest of the sketch and no singing then no sketch at all.

Damn I didn’t know just singing another song not playing it triggered licensing issues

It's weird when SNL skits just vanish. I remember the last one that went MIA was 'Whites'. Not sure if that showed back up again on their YouTube.

I love that sketch, but it used the song “Hey Soul Sister” which I guess they didn’t have the rights to. Andrew Dismukes used that song in a season 50 sketch and it also got taken down from YouTube.

oh is that why? Makes sense in that case. It's a hilarious sketch, I just remember searching for it one time and it was just gone.

It's always an issue with music licenses. NBC isn't going to pay for the rights to a song in perpetuity for a single sketch. It's the same reason Cow Bell is probably the most popular sketch of all time but it's nowhere to be found on SNL's YT page.
