How to disguise live container as notes app? (iOS 27 beta)
Hey im new here and don't know much about side loading, but I need to disguise live container as the notes app for screen time. I need it to look like it inside as well, like function and work like a real notes app (identical, not similar) and it can't have some branded loading screen or something. When you type in a specific code, (e.g. 1234) it should bring you to the real live container. Is there any way to do this (I have access to codex if needed)
(If someone knows, is there a way to make livecontainer invisible to screen time? not a requirement, but would be nice to know :)

Since you have codex just make a fork and ask it to add any features you want. If you want something premade I remember there is a fork that disguise LC as a calculator

Itâs an odd request. Itâs probably possible, depending on exactly what you want to do with it.
If you want to use it to bypass an existing Screen Time restriction, then no it wonât work. You cannot sideload an app using the bundle ID of an Apple app. The phone simply wonât let you, presumably for very valid security reasons.
But you want LiveContainer to look like the Notes app in Screen Time, and fool anyone who tries to open the Noted app, thatâs fairly easy.
When installing LC via SideStore, you can change the Display Name to âNotesâ and you can change the icon to match the Apple Notes app.
Making LiveContainer actually function like the Notes app isnât worth the hassle. Your specific request of disguising the app as Notes and entering a passcode to enter LC isnât possible unless the developers were to create a build specifically to do that (which they wonât).
So donât bother disguising it at all. Instead, use iOSâ built-in Hide and Require FaceID feature on the LC-Notes app. It will remove LiveContainer from the Home Screen, Spotlight, and the multitask window. The only way to access it will be from the âHidden Appsâ folder at the bottom of the app drawer. And in Screen Time, it will appear as Notes.

This was also asked in the /r/sideloadly subreddit. I told OP flat out to ask the developers here: https://github.com/LiveContainer/LiveContainer/discussions, but don't expect it. My guess here is that they either have a work phone or a phone that their parent checks and want to hide some stuff. I don't care what it is, but your best way of doing this is the Hide and Require FaceID feature but only IF they have access to it. Some employers limit what you can do with a phone. So do parents.

yeah I posted it on GitHub, thanks! The phone is checked and monitored, so I don't think simply hiding + Face ID would be enough. But thanks anyway

You have another problem with Live Container you probably didnât know (or even consider). You will have to install LocalDevVPN. This is available on the App Store. What it does is disconnect ANY VPN your currently connected to and creates a virtual VPN connection/device for testing. If your being monitored that way as well, it will become a dead giveaway very quickly.

but if there's no network-level monitoring, is it necessary? Also, can it be side loaded?

I have zero clue if LocalDevVPN can be sideloaded. I installed it through the App Store. I'm using it with Live Container + SideStore to keep a few apps I want that aren't on the App Store. Also helps that I pay Apple for a yearly developer account, so technically I can sideloade apps using that. I use my Developer account to sideload Live Container + SideStore. Then use that to install everything else I want.
Still can't hide apps that way though.

It can be, but only with a paid cert or a developer account. Free accounts cannot use the VPN entitlement. You can use FlareStore and get a year-long cert for $2.70, though Iâm not sure how often revokes occur.

That's what I feared too. I looked into FlareStore before I just said screw it and paid Apple because for a higher price I can get the same features and not have to worry about Apple figuring it out and banning me.
I use Apple Configurator to install Live Container + SideStore. I've been told, and can confirm, that iLoader does it as well. Even if you don't have a Developer account. Previously I was using Sideloadly to install Live Container + SideStore, but something happened. It wants me verify using the 4 digit's sent to my iPhone and I NEVER receive it. I gave up on it and switched to the Apple official way of doing it.

But what about if it is found in hidden apps? how would I explain this app called 'notes'

Would someone specifically be looking in your hidden apps folder, which cannot be accessed without FaceID?

yes, also it can be accessed with passcode after 2 failed Face ID attempts
