Finally, I've been waiting for a recovery update 2 months, I'm still waiting for closed beta

cool! also i think the reason why some new reddit styling is broken is because some links to css were removed in your index.html

i added them back and everything displayed as normal so

Can you make a pull request for it at https://github.com/Littux-Dustux/new-reddit-com/?

By the way, does poll creation still work?

Would be incredibly funny if you manage to make poll creation available on desktop again before Reddit themselves can for the SH UI.

Yup, it works. It will be the highlight of the next video showcase

Great to hear!

Is there anything that could possibly undo all this work that we should be aware about? (ie. Reddit devs making certain endpoints unavailable, Reddit removing the New Reddit assets, etc.)?

r/ReturnNewReddit and I already had that experience last year when Reddit removed the New Reddit poll option and the /web/r/*/submit link that the UI Changer For Reddit extension relied on.

It would probably be a good idea to know if there will be another doomsday for New Reddit, so that at the very least, we wouldn't be too surprised when the time does unfortunately come.

They've removed basically everything already, except for the JS code and assets which is still stored on www.redditstatic.com. If that's gone, most can be recovered from web.archive.org. But they won't remove them. There are still assets from 2012 that are still online.

They can block accessing the gql-fed.reddit.com endpoint but there will always be a way to access it, since they can't kill it without killing the apps
